DeBlasio cracking down on minor drug crimes:

A month ago I noted that, despite a big drop in stop-and-frisk encounters during the first three months of Bill de Blasio’s tenure as mayor of New York City, low-level pot busts were down just 8.5 percent compared to the first quarter of 2013. Another month of data makes De Blasio and his police commissioner, Bill Bratton, look even worse on this front. According to the latest numbers from the Marijuana Arrest Research Project (MARP), New York cops busted an average of 80 pot smokers a day during the first four months of this year, slightly higher than the daily average of 78 under Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Police Commissioner Ray Kelly during the same period of last year. Now as then, the arrestees are overwhelmingly (86 percent) black or Latino, overwhelmingly (79 percent) between the ages of 16 and 34, and overhelmingly (73 percent) first-time offenders. MARP concludes that “marijuana arrest patterns in the first four months of 2014 under de Blasio and Bratton are indistinguishable from those of their predecessors in 2013.”

I already have a Mom and Dad, I don’t need another one.

Blood Dancing

We saw it in the Santa Barbara killings. The antis heard people had been shot and immediately called it a mass shooting. Later when it was realized that half the people were stabbed to death, they backpedaled and attempted to re-group, focusing only on the people who were shot.

I really think that antis get excited when they read about somebody being shot. They obviously don’t care about the loss of human life, otherwise they wouldn’t be so fixated on “Gun Death”. Also their haste to jump on the issue before the facts are known and the bodies even cool shows that their agenda is above all else.

They NEED the blood and emotions to push their agenda. Guns simply aren’t that big a problem in American society, so when there is no major headlines the if the news covers a gun story it’s a positive light. Guns are fun, guns are interesting, and guns save people’s lives.

When there is blood on the ground that’s when emotions run hot, and that’s when the antis push their agenda. So much that they have to mislead to get the numbers they want.

We’ve talked about this before. The anti’s talk about “School Shootings” because it invokes an image. A deranged student or outsider forcing their way into a school during classroom hours with a “high-Powered” weapon shooting innocent teachers and students with reckless abandon.

Same goes for their topic of “Mass Shooters”, where again a person armed with “High Powered” weapons shoots up an area filled with innocent people.

These events do happen, but they are horrible outliers. If all we had were “School Shootings” and “Mass Shootings” by the heart-string pulling national news standards we would be one of the safest nations in the world. Also your BS alarm should be going off. We have the School Shooting in Portland where a student violated school policy bringing a weapon into school grounds, killing another student, wounding a teacher, then eventually killing himself. That’s one innocent body, and it was national news. If there have been 74 of these, why haven’t we heard of them?

Well there goes the crux, most of the “Mass Shootings” are events like this, gang turf wars in gun control capitals, and the people who are shot are just as dirty as the ones taking the shots. Same with School shootings. Most aren’t during classroom hours, many are only NEAR schools, and some involve criminals involved in criminal acts, others are simple suicides.

They are DESPERATE for blood, so much that they need to be this dishonest about the news. And they claim to be for “Safety”. Really they are for banning guns, and if that means MORE people are killed, the better for their twisted agenda.

“Gun Death” Hobby Horse Eddition

This is a terrible one, but let’s project a bit:

A Florida mental health counselor has been arrested for allegedly murdering her lesbian lover’s two-year-old daughter after the girl’s mother, also a mental health counselor, broke up with her.

…Officers were called to REDACTED Jupiter, Florida, home Monday for a reported drowning. There, they found Elliana Lucas-Jamason, 2, dead.

Now this is yet another “Gun Death”, and yet another one by a Mother (tho not in the traditional sense) drowning a small child. I will often quip that we don’t call for banning bathtubs etc when we read stories like this. Still the antis call for banning guns when somebody gets shot by the horrible actions of another person.

Still in this case we can drag out all the odd political hobby horses. I mean these were homosexuals! Did the fact that she’s gay have anything to do with this child’s death? In the pictures we see a family photo around an Obama Sign! OBVIOUSLY a McCain or Romney voter wouldn’t kill their kids! The children appear to be of different or mixed races, is this all due to the lack of ethnic purity? Not to cast a broad brush, but most counselors I know got into it from seeing counselors themselves and have their own mental demons, and obviously she was mentally ill to do this. But they were BOTH Councillors, so this is obviously a failure of our mental health system!

I’m sure we could go on for ages, but in the end, it’s the person who’s the problem.

Obama isn’t Coming For Your Guns

That’s what the antis say. And indeed they’re liars!

Speaking to users of the blogging platform Tumblr, President Obama today praised Australia’s confiscation of firearms. Obama said:

” Couple of decades ago, Australia had a mass shooting, similar to Columbine or Newtown. And Australia just said, well, that’s it, we’re not doing, we’re not seeing that again, and basically imposed very severe, tough gun laws, and they haven’t had a mass shooting since.

Our levels of gun violence are off the charts. There’s no advanced, developed country that would put up with this.”

In other words, the president of the United States just praised a government for forcefully removing all semi-automatic firearms (i.e. a remarkable number of the guns in America and the majority of those sold today) from its citizenry.

Now will he succeed? I doubt it, but we’ll sure fight hard just to make sure he knows how foolish this move is.

“Gun Death” “Honor” Killing

Another “Gun Death” from the “Religion of Peace”:

A woman was stoned to death by her own family in front of a Pakistani high court on Tuesday for marrying the man she loved, police and a defense lawyer said.

Nearly 20 members of the woman’s family, including her father and brothers, attacked her and her husband with batons and bricks in broad daylight before a crowd of onlookers in front of the high court of Lahore, said police official Naseem Butt.

Seems so alien to us. Hell even tho I knew he would be happy, I forwent the tradition to ask my Father-in-law for permission to marry my wife. We also didn’t ask him to pay for the wedding. We were both adults, I don’t see any reason to involve our families in our decision to get married, nor our wedding plans. They certainly didn’t seem to care either.

Hundreds of women are killed every year in Muslim-majority Pakistan in so-called “honor killings” carried out by husbands or relatives as a punishment for alleged adultery or other illicit sexual behavior

These deaths are almost always non-gun deaths, with anything from beheading, to burning the woman to death. Of course we shouldn’t be concerned about this because only “Gun Deaths” count!

Yet Another Reason for Me to Not Be a Republican

From Texas of all places. Man and I thought you guys were better than this crap!

With the new plank in place, the Texas GOP now recognizes “the legitimacy and efficacy of counseling, which offers reparative therapy and treatment for those patients seeking healing and wholeness from their homosexual lifestyle.”

Many health organizations, including the American Psychological Association, have condemned gay conversion therapy, and some in the GOP voiced concerns about the move in Texas.

“There’s a very, very small group of people who want to keep the party in the past. We were here today to try to pull the party into the future,” Rudy Oeftering, vice president of the gay conservative group Metroplex Republicans, told the Associated Press. “The only way the party can go into the future is to start listening to young people, to start listening to people who have gay family members.”

Yep, I’m no longer a Republican because of this crap.

The Texas GOP’s move is hardly representative of Republicans nationwide — Chris Christie, the Republican governor of New Jersey, signed a ban on gay conversion therapy last year, and a fierce debate rages in the party over how to approach issues of homosexuality.

Oh what a glorious endorsement from a “Progressive” pig like Christie. Sorry he isn’t a Republican, he’s a centrist “Progressive” and that means “Republican” in New Jersey, just like Michael Bloomberg was a Republican for several years in New York.

I am NOT a Republican, they stand for nothing I hold dear.

Rand Paul hears it too!

His comments came during an address to the Republican Liberty Caucus of Texas at the Texas GOP convention here. Liberty, he said, “infuses traditional conservatism with the excitement, the energy, the outreach that we need.” Libertarian views and traditional conservative values complement each other, Paul added.

“The interesting thing about it is, as I go around the country, no matter who I talk to, whether it’s the establishment — the wealthy who support our party sometimes — or the poor, people say it’s time, time for this libertarian moment, this liberty moment,” he said. “It’s no longer something that scares people, it’s what [makes] people say, we can’t run the same-old same-old, we’re not going to win with the same-old, same-old.”

Paul who’s for smaller government, against the war on drugs, against us going to war for crappy nations with no end game, and doesn’t have a burning hatred of the gays, means he isn’t a Republican either.

I think the GOP it too far gone to save, I say cut them loose and leave them behind!

“Progressive” Magical Thinking

“Feminists” really disgust me.

So we have a new Miss USA, and frankly I could care less. Pageants are great ways for women to earn scholarships. I kinda don’t get the whole thing, but at the same time a childhood friend of mine got a nice ride to college because she was really pretty. How can you argue that?

Still this new Miss USA was asked about the problem with sexual assault. Here’s her answer:

“I believe that some colleges may potentially be afraid of having a bad reputation and that would be a reason it could be swept under the rug, because they don’t want that to come out into the public,”Nia Sanchez said. “But I think more awareness is very important so women can learn how to protect themselves. Myself, as a fourth-degree black belt, I learned from a young age that you need to be confident and be able to defend yourself. And I think that’s something that we should start to really implement for a lot of women.”

What’s the “Feminist” response?

We shouldn’t teach women self-defense so they can avoid being raped, rather we should only teach men it is bad to rape.’

Follow the above link for more “Feminist” outrage at this very reasonable response. Man there’s a reason why I put the quotes around “Feminist”, because it isn’t doing women any justice just to demand the world change around them.

Seriously people, there is no place in America in any culture where rape is considered a valid form of sexual intercourse. There might be a few nations where rape might be overlooked because of culture or circumstance, but those places are few and far between, as well as generally being horrible places for ALL humans.

Still there are monsters among us who don’t play by the social rules, and knowing self defense skills will serve EVERYBODY right. Further she didn’t go for the “Progressive” “trigger” by suggesting women carry firearms (I’ll suggest that. If you’re a woman, you should be carrying a gun!) yet still she was attacked by these fools.

So yeah, “Feminists” just call for us to wish that sexual assault didn’t exist (and there has never been a time in humanity, or really in the history of sexual biology where that hasn’t been the case) and realists suggest that if confronted by a sexual predator you hurt them bad enough they decided to not play that game anymore.

If you hurt them with a hollow point round, they may never do that ever again!

“Gun Death” Mass Stabbing

Remember, these spree killings only happen in the US because of our “Gun Culture”.

A college student was detained on accusations that he attacked riders on Taipei’s subway with two knives, killing four people and wounding 23 in the first such assault in the system’s 18-year history.

I won’t speculate on this killer’s motives, but in the US the killers pick guns because they work, and work well. They also pick areas where they can avoid OTHER people with guns for maximum effect and fame. In places where guns are banned, the MO can be a little easier.

This is the world the people who constantly spout “Gun Death” want for us all!

A Cool Kahr Arms Promo Video

I’m madly in love with Kahr’s polymer pocket pistol. Here’s why!

Super thin, super light, with a low bore axis giving the gun more capacity and more of a firing grip than similar-sized guns in the same class. Also the closest gun to compare the pre-charged striker DAO action is the legendary Colt Python revolver. It’s a little different from the other striker-fired guns, but I prefer this trigger feel.

Also for the Field and Stream guys, it’s pronounced “WIS-ter”….I don’t judge them because Worcester just looks like alphabet soup on the printer page!
