In such a public place, this is really scary!

A carbon monoxide leak at a mall on Long Island killed one person Saturday night and sickened more than two dozen, according to the local authorities.

Police officers, fire crews and medics responded to an emergency call around 6 p.m. for a woman who had hit her head and fallen in the basement of Legal Sea Foods at the Walt Whitman Shops in Huntington Station, the Suffolk County Police said. Soon after arriving, ambulance personnel began feeling nauseous and dizzy and recognized it as carbon monoxide poisoning, Commissioner Edward Webber said.

The woman and a man, who were both restaurant employees, were found in the basement overcome by the gas, said Andrea Golinsky, a spokeswoman for the Huntington Community First Aid Squad. They were taken in critical condition to Huntington Hospital, where the man was pronounced dead on arrival, police said.

They call carbon monoxide the “Silent Killer”, at least guns make noise, even with a suppressor!

You won’t hear about this from the “Progressives” because the only thing they love more than banning guns is mass transit!

The anti-rights cult always talks about banning guns to save the life of women from domestic abuse. They will NOT be talking about this story:

A Fayetteville woman has been arrested and charged with the stabbing death of her boyfriend.

Not only do deaths from stabbings not count to the “Progressives” but women killing men in domestic disputes also are ignored.

Only “Gun Deaths” should be counted by their metrics!

This just shows the horrors of a public system:

New York Police Department officials say they can’t explain why a fearful woman’s domestic-abuse report — written in the woman’s native language of Spanish — was never translated into English for review, and for possible action.

The woman and her two daughters subsequently were stabbed to death. The woman’s husband, arrested as he tried to flee to Mexico, now faces charges of first-degree murder.

Not that a piece of paper would have stopped this jerk. What WOULD have stopped him was out of reach for a resident of NYC.
