Looks like the Occupy Wall Street movement is organizing protests nation-wide.
Hopefully it will just be quiet protests with just some ugly racist overtones. Still last time We had this band of “Progressives” together there was violence, vandalism, and massive arrests.
If you’re a lawful citizen stay away from these areas and let the police and press handle them.

Washington, D.C.—There can be no doubt after the Not Guilty verdict in the trial of George Zimmerman that murder has now been legalized in half of the 50 states.
The traditional presumption in the law—from the advent of the Hebrew Bible through the creation of Roman law, English common law, and American law—has been that if you could spare human life, it was incumbent upon you to do so. With the “Stand Your Ground” law, the National Rifle Association (NRA) and its partners in the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) have turned 3,000 years of jurisprudence on its head. Now you can provoke a fight, and if losing that fight, kill the person you attacked.
Wow, its a shame that CSGV’s goons weren’t on the prosecution team, given that they can PROVE facts that the state of Florida was unable to do! Also if “Murder is Legalized”, why was there even a trial? Also I love how all the anti-freedom goons are talking about “Stand Your Ground” when that law has NOTHING to do with this case. Hint, there is no “Duty to Retreat” when your head is being bashed into the pavement.
Turning the other cheek is supposed to be a sacred virtue. But by removing the duty to retreat from a confrontation in public when one can safely do so, the “Stand Your Ground” law allowed George Zimmerman to stalk and kill an unarmed teenager and walk away a free man. That’s a tragedy, because there can be no doubt that Zimmerman could have avoided a confrontation with Trayvon Martin on the evening of February 26, 2012.
But what about Martin? Its hard to “stalk” somebody you’ve lost sight of…and why didn’t Martin just run home? Hey, but the man with the gun is ALWAYS guilty, right?
The NRA’s law represents a dangerous and unprecedented escalation in the use of force in the public space, allowing individuals to kill when they merely fear “great bodily harm” (i.e., a fistfight, shoving match, etc.). The concept of responding with proportional force has been obliterated. In this case, the “harm” done to Zimmerman, by whatever source, was so minor that EMTs didn’t even offer him treatment minutes after the shooting.
“Proportional force” is laws for crappy nations who don’t have self-defense laws. If you like that so much, go there! Also CSGV didn’t read the arrest report where Sanford Fire did indeed render first aid to Mr. Zimmerman.
Americans should also question why Zimmerman was allowed to carry a loaded gun in public in the first place. He has been previously arrested for assaulting a police officer and placed under a restraining order for a domestic battery involving a former fiancee. Again, Zimmerman had the NRA to thank. Their “Shall Issue” law in Florida awards concealed carry permits to individuals with minimal screening/training and removes any discretion law enforcement might have in approving applicants.
All events in question had been cleared from Mr. Zimmerman’s record. I guess “Guilty until proven innocent” is how CSGV likes to roll. So much for them respecting law and the constitution.
The message to would-be killers is now clear. You need not fear carrying your gun in public, or using it. If you do, just make sure you are the only one remaining to testify about the nature of the confrontation in question.
Uh, huh. Hence why Zimmerman was embroiled in a massive court case, and only felt the need to fire one shot.
As much as the gruesome mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary, the acquittal of George Zimmerman is confirmation that the American promise of “Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness” will continue to be squandered until the NRA’s pernicious stranglehold on our legislatures is broken. Lawmakers in states with “Stand Your Ground” laws should immediately repeal these cancerous blights on American values, law and tradition.
So says the people with zero respect for the US Constitution or the right of law. George Zimmerman has been acquitted, but CSGV both considers him guilty AND cites “Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness”.
All irony lost on these bunch of anti-freedom goons!
Could have been much worse…but this behavior is commonplace for a “Peaceful Progressive Protest”.

As I said, I generally think of myself as a Second Amendment supporter, and a month ago, I would’ve probably agreed with the NRA’s position. But the Newtown shooting caused me to re-examine my stance—as is, I think, fitting—and to question some of the rhetoric advocates use to defend weapons like this.
“Second Amendment Supporter”? “re-examine my stance”?
Can anybody point out ANY evedence that Joan has changed ANY of her positions after last December? She’s always been against semi-auto firearms, and failed to EVER claim that ANY firearms were OK for law-abiding citizens to own. Further she has conflated “Assault Weapons” with the murder of her sister who was NOT killed with a semi-auto firearm.
She’s always been against lawful carry and self defense. Further she has conflated the murder of her sister with concealed carry laws, despite concealed carry being illegal at the time of her sister’s murder.
Most likely Joan is simply lying to make herself appear more moderate, but honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if she thought she was telling the truth when she typed that simply because of mental illness.

He’s been Acquitted of All Crimes.
This is exactly how I hoped this would have happened. Zimmerman was being assaulted with deadly force just prior to him unholstering his weapon and firing. Further evidence showed that Zimmerman was a meek fellow without even a speeding ticket to his record, and Martin was the poster child for “Future Career Criminal Youth of America” (TM). Martin was into drugs, illegally owned a gun, had piles of infractions with his school (which he was suspended from at the time of his death), and while they won’t admit to it, there’s a reason why Trayvon’s mother had him serve out his suspension 200 miles from home at his father’s house in Sanford. They were concerned about the troubled path he was going down.
All of this, and the consistency with Zimmerman’s accounts of that evening lead me to believe that George Zimmerman would have been murdered that night if he hadn’t been carrying his gun.
Still I find myself reading the news with a Heavy Heart. There are SO many news accounts of people claiming racism…for racist reasons. This is a case about racism in America, but not the way the media is spinning it. This is a case about how our nation is willing to look the other way when blacks spout hatred and violence against people of a lighter skin tone in this country.
Further those of us who hoped, and are happy for a Zimmerman acquittal are NOT calling him a “Hero”. I think we all wish he had just moved on that night, and probably see the whole “Neighborhood Watch” crap as just another nosy Homeowner Association pile of crap.
A long time ago somebody told me “Never draw your firearm for ANYBODY who you aren’t willing to go to jail for.” and this is a prime example. Zimmerman thought he saw a young man attempting to break into a house. This wasn’t his house, this wasn’t his next door neighbor, and likely this is somebody he barely knows.
It sucks, but just drive on.
Still while we’re not all that interested in Zimmerman as a figurehead for the self-defense movement, the anti-rights movement is all about making Trayvon Martin the figurehead for their movement.
George Zimmerman was found not guilty today of any wrongdoing, proving, beyond a shadow of doubt, that it is perfectly legal in Florida for someone to stalk an unarmed, black boy through a neighborhood at night, confront him, and shoot him dead, and be able to claim self-defense.
The fact that he stalked the boy through his neighborhood, against 911 advice, without so much as identifying himself, was never in question. The fact that Zimmerman confronted the boy and fought with him was never in question. The fact that he shot and killed that unarmed boy was never in question. The only real question was how lenient Florida law was for this to happen and get away with it.
Yep, Just ignore the fact that Zimmerman had his face pounded in at the time of his arrest, and the only injuries to Martin were damage to his knuckles and the hole in his heart. And of course ignore the fact that Martin was a troubled teen with documented history of violence, drug use, theft.
This little gang-banger is the face of gun control. They want us disarmed so that we too can have our heads beaten into the ground.
And of course no matter how conclusive the ruling is, George Zimmerman will never truly be free. Jason “Baldr” Kilgore links this article…seeming with glee.
The acquittal of George Michael Zimmerman, 29, means he’s a free man and will be able to walk out of the courthouse because he’s no longer in police custody.
He will be free, if he chooses, to leave Seminole County, Florida. But one of his attorneys, Mark O’Mara, has said that Zimmerman is a marked man and lives in fear for his life.
In fact, during court proceedings, Zimmerman didn’t disclose where he had been residing for more than a year, and he dared to venture outdoors only when in disguise. Zimmerman also wore body armor.
They skip out on the more brutal threats and campaigns.

Still at the time of my writing there are no riots or “Street Justice” killings. If we can make it until Monday I’d say the danger will be mostly over.
I’m glad for that.
Those who use the metric of “Gun Death” depend on suicides to fuel their numbers. Of course since they only care about the guns, and not the death, they make claims that the GUNS cause the suicides, and therefore should be banned.
Well then there’s this interesting number:
Overdose deaths in the U.S. are rising fastest among middle-aged women, and their drug of choice is usually prescription painkillers, the government reported Tuesday….For many decades, the overwhelming majority of U.S. overdose deaths were men killed by heroin or cocaine. But by 2010, 40% were women – most of them middle-aged women who took prescription painkillers.
Skyrocketing female overdose death rates are closely tied to a boom in the overall use of prescribed painkillers. The new report is the CDC’s first to spotlight how the death trend has been more dramatic among women.
The CDC found that the number and rate of prescription painkiller overdose deaths among females increased about fivefold 1999 to 2010. Among men, such deaths rose about 3½ times.
Overall, more men still die from overdoses of painkillers and other drugs; there were about 23,000 such deaths in 2010, compared with about 15,300 for women. Men tend to take more risks with drugs than women, and often are more prone to the kind of workplace injuries that lead to their being prescribed painkillers in the first place, experts say.
But the gap has been narrowing dramatically.
These are number eclipsing even “Gun Death”….but only “Gun Death” counts, so no need to look at THESE piles of bodies…they aren’t useful for their political means!

State troopers are confiscating tampons, maxi pads and other potential projectiles from those who are entering the Texas capitol to watch the debate and vote on a controversial anti-abortion bill. Guns, however, which are typically permitted in the state capitol, are still being allowed.

Apparently chanting “hail Satan,” “f*ck the church,” “bro-choice” and holding signs that say “hoes before embryos” just wasn’t enough for pro-abortion protestors in Texas. According to reports on the ground, police have confiscated bricks, tampons, pads and condoms protestors planned to throw at pro-life lawmakers Friday before a final vote on legislation banning abortions past five months. Protestors continue to be loud inside the Capitol, but the Gallery where debate takes place is silent and under strict rules.
So they were making special rules on confiscating tampons, pads, condoms, and BRICKS!!!! because “Progressives” intended to throw them at lawmakers in protest.
From Occupy Wall Street, to the G8 Summit, to Union Protests and pickets, the Left really has a good track record in quickly breaking from peaceful protest to violent riots.
Meanwhile the people with guns committed no crime, and no disturbances yesterday. Funny how that works.
And these fools want to take OUR guns away!

Three men are expected to be charged Friday in connection with the stabbing death of a woman next to the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The three men, whom police describe as transients between 27 and 34 years old, were arrested in connection with the death of 23-year-old Christine Darlene Calderon after police said the men attacked her Tuesday night at Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue.
Charges are expected to be filed Friday with arraignment likely the same day, authorities said.
Authorities said Calderon was strolling down the Walk of Fame with a coworker after sunset when an amusing cardboard sign caught her eye. She pulled out her cellphone to snap a picture of men displaying signs asking for money with four-letter insults and a smiley face, they said.
Moments later, according to law enforcement sources, one of the men demanded that she pay $1 for the pictures.
When she refused, police say, two of the men allegedly pinned Calderon’s coworker against a wall.
The third jumped on top of Calderon, knocking her onto the pavement in front of an American Eagle Outfitters clothing store at the Hollywood and Highland retail and entertainment complex, police said.
When she got up to run away, authorities said, blood was gushing from a stab wound in her midsection.
She collapsed a few feet from the terrazzo Walk of Fame stars. She was pronounced dead at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center three hours later.
Brutal. But no “Gun Death”!
