More Anti-Rights Anti-Logic

Michael Moore is really stupid:

First I don’t trust any numbers about gun ownership in America. The gun racks are BARE, and there is no ammo, and from everything I’ve seen this appears to be people buying their first guns, not use hardcore gunnies buying more guns. Also given all the talk of bans and confiscation, I doubt people will be so cooperative or forthcoming on what they own and don’t own when asked.

Still Moore seems to think that just because you DON’T own a gun that you’re fine with banning them. I was pro-gun for YEARS before I finally pulled the proverbial trigger and bought my first guns, and like we’re seeing today I didn’t just buy one, I probably bought a half-dozen guns in the first year. Today, my collection is fairly well-rounded I’ve only been averaging a few guns every year, and unless the rush slows down and price stabilize I might not buy any, or only a few odd collector’s items this year.

Also, I think Moore seems to think that having a shooter walk right through a “Gun Free Zone” to kill innocent people like fish in a barrel will convince everybody that MORE gun control will be at all effective.

Then again, if anti-rights goons were smart or logical, they’d be pro-rights….

Another “Sucessful” Bailout

Foreign Owned, and recipient of US Federal funds Fisker is about to go under:

Fisker is an electric car company, founded in 2007, which holds the dubious distinction of producing the only car to ever break down during its Consumer Reports test drive. It was supposed to be an American leader in new technologies, with a revamped factory in Delaware and all the jobs that come with it. It ended up producing cars in Finland— cars that caught on fire and konked out due to the company’s use of faulty batteries from another taxpayer-funded company, A123. Facing recalls and possible bankruptcy, Fisker’s CEO Henrik Fisker stepped down while the company searched for buyers. All this colossal failure could be chalked up to doing business in new technologies if it had been done with the $1 billion or so in private funding Fisker got. Sadly, the company also blew through $193 million from us, via the Department of Energy, which is now giving pause to the Chinese companies looking to buy it. Stimulus!

Obama bailouts are an economic kiss of death!

More Anti-Freedom

Looks like the New Jersey Police, in the words of President Obama, “Acted Stupidly”.

The ruddy-cheeked, camouflage-clad boy in the photo smiles out from behind a pair of glasses, proudly holding a gun his father gave him as a present for his upcoming 11th birthday.

The weapon in the photo, posted by his dad on Facebook, resembles a military-style assault rifle but, his father says, is actually just a .22-caliber copy. And that, the family believes, is why child welfare case workers and police officers visited the home in Carneys Point last Friday and asked to see his guns.

New Jersey’s Department of Children and Families declined to comment specifically on the case but says it often follows up on tips. The family and an attorney say father Shawn Moore’s Second Amendment rights to bear arms were threatened in a state that already has some of the nation’s strictest gun laws and is considering strengthening them after December’s schoolhouse massacre in Connecticut.

In this case, the family believes someone called New Jersey’s anonymous child abuse hot line.

Shawn Moore said he gave his son Josh the gun as a present to use on hunting trips. The elder Moore was at a friend’s house when his wife called, saying state child welfare investigators, along with four local police officers, were at the house, asking to inspect the family’s guns….”They said they wanted to see into my safe and see if my guns were registered,” Moore said. “I said no; in New Jersey, your guns don’t have to be registered with the state; it’s voluntary. I knew once I opened that safe, there was no going back.”

With the lawyer listening in on the phone, Moore said he asked the investigators and police officers whether they had a warrant to search his home. When they said no, he asked them to leave. One of the child welfare officials would not identify herself when Moore asked for her name, he said.

The agents and the police officers left, and nothing has happened since, he said.

Those who are anti-gun see nothing wrong in violating the 4th Amendment.

Also I thought these were “Weapons of War”, and not used for hunting? Sebastian has more on the initial story, and the picture in question.

It looks like a S&W M&P15-22, which according to Dianne Fienstine, is indeed an “Assault Weapon” because it is semi-auto, has a removable magazine, and has a pistol grip.

The antis are indeed coming for your guns, and it doesn’t matter if its a youth hunting rifle, or your defensive gun, or just a prized collector’s piece.

Well I Feel “Safe”

Remember that Murderer and Child Rapist in New York?

Federal authorities say a man charged with killing a woman and raping her 10-year-old daughter after a carjacking at a New York mall last week was able to remove and reassemble his court-ordered electronic monitoring bracelet within a minute before carrying out the attacks.

Authorities say he removed and reassembled the bracelet so quickly that it may have prompted what appeared to be a false alarm or the alarm may have gone undetected for hours.

WOW! Guav personally encountered this guy who worked at his GROCERY STORE! GROCERY STORE, not ENGINEERING LAB, this guy was not some hot-shot electrical engineer who could build a laptop out of scrap lumber and aluminum foil, he was just a shitheel monster, and that monitoring bracelet that was supposed to allow him to be out in public without supervision was easily removed so he could freely go out and cause mayhem.

Makes me wonder if this was his first attack, or simply just the first attack so wanton the police noticed.

Hey but if you buy an 8-round magazine, you defiantly need to go to jail in New York.

This country is going backwards at warp-speed!

“Gun Death” Massachusetts

Massachusetts where “Gun Death” is considered “Rare”:

A 20-year-old Weymouth man was ordered held without bail Tuesday after his arraignment on charges in connection with his father’s beating death.
Related

Weymouth and Massachusetts State Police were called to a home on Cross Street on Monday afternoon for a “serious altercation” between the pair about shooting a BB gun in the basement, prosecutors said.

Hey, not a “Gun Death”! But what do we ban? Fists? Maybe BB Guns?

Marxist And Economics

Wow, I’m so glad we elected this idiot:

First I’d like to see how she crunched her “Productivity” numbers. Also I’d note that the people doing the actual producing are NOT making minimum wage.

Further $22 an hour? That’s more than most new college grads make. That’s SKILLED labor. Minimum wage is for unskilled ENTRY labor, and its a pay you don’t strive to stay on for any length of time. I’ve worked for minimum wage, and I’ve never worked at that pay level for more than a few months. Do you job, get skills and experience, and demand a raise, then thank your boss for the pay hike, or take a hike and find somebody who appreciates your skills. Also if you’re getting paid the minimum, don’t give two weeks, just walk out!

Also what Senator Warren misses is that if the minimum wage kept up with GDP, or whatever numbers she used to play her Marxist number game, GDP simply wouldn’t increase.

That’s a victory for “Progressives” who seem to admire places like the USSR, Red China, North Korea, Cuba, and Venezuela where bread lines are commonplace.

“Gun Death” Political Rally

In Ecuador

Authorities in Ecuador say a man wielding a large knife killed two people and wounded four in a crowd that was awaiting President Rafael Correa for a political rally.

Its the people, not the tool!

A Weer’d Thing

Thought I’d share:

While walking to work I found a shattered pair of glasses on the sidewalk that were the EXACT style and brand as mine.

For a moment I wondered if they were my glasses before I physically confirmed they were on my face.

I then checked the broken pair to see if I could salvage any parts.

“Gun Death” Car Jacking

Another “Gun Death” from New York:

Renz was arraigned Friday morning at a court in East Syracuse on charges that he abducted the mother and daughter as they left a gymnastics class in the Syracuse suburb of Clay.

Police said Renz raped the girl and stabbed the mother to death before fleeing into some woods. The 10-year-old girl escaped and was found by a passing motorist, who dialed 911. Renz was captured a short time later.

At the time of the attack, Renz was awaiting trial on federal child pornography charges and was supposed to be wearing an electronic monitoring bracelet tracking his whereabouts.

This took place in Onondaga County, one of the New York counties where a carry license is very difficult to obtain. Good thing too, as somebody might have shot this monster and stopped this crime! We can’t have that as it would have been a “Gun Death”!

Still why do you need guns when police monitor the whereabouts of dangerous criminals while they abduct, rape and murder!

And while I’m not unhappy to report this, it does earn the “Bad Justice” tag:

man accused of killing a Syracuse woman and raping her 10-year-old daughter during a carjacking was beaten and suffered a broken nose on his first day in jail, authorities said.

David Renz had a swollen face and tissues stuffed up both nostrils when he appeared in federal court Friday to face a probation violation charge.

I frankly think this beast should have been shot dead when he attempted to abduct the woman and her daughter, but the prison system is NOT for a physical abuse of monsters, no matter how fitting they wear that moniker. Still the system is broken as he shouldn’t have been able to do what he did under a REAL justice system.
