“Gun Death” Drugs Again

If only guns were as illegal as drugs!

A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the drug-related deaths of two Southlake Carroll High School students….Investigators say Marino supplied drugs to his two friends, but then did not call for help after the teens passed out and became unresponsive early Saturday.

Yep, the war on drugs is working as well as the war on guns!

Today

Isn’t very different from any other day. That’s why I love my wife. We don’t celebrate today as anything different from any other day.

Sympathies for all you who have to buy gifts and flowers. My wife can expect gifts and flowers every other day, but NOT today.

My Feelings on Dorner

PJ TV did a spot on those who cheered Dorner on in his actions:

Wayyyy too far. Its not like our crazy media wouldn’t have given lots of time to an ultra-progressive minority cop claiming corruption, racism, and violence on behalf of the LAPD, no matter how thin his story. There was a non-violent way to get his message out and seek revenge against those who he perceived to have wronged him. As I’ve said before, there is a time for violence, and from what I read in Dorner’s grievances, this was NOT the time.

Still there is a part of me who’s sad that he’s likely now dead, and certainly the methods of it. Huffington post has a post up that has an official Police statement that the tear gas likely started the blaze. There are also some unofficial reports that the blaze may have been intentional.

Seeing the wanton attacks on the two pickup trucks, it seems pretty clear the LAPD had ZERO interest in taking this man alive and letting him stand trial for his crimes. Of course Dorner’s taste for blood also made his chances of being taken alive slim at best.

I’m upset that a man would kill so many people, who as dirty as they may have been (Turns out the people murdered were not LAPD or on Dorner’s list, meaning its more than likely collateral damage of a crazy person), didn’t deserve to die. But also I don’t have a lot of love for the police and their actions in this case.

State of the Gimp

Wow, How can a fall be THAT BAD, and I feel so fine today? I don’t trust it. Still as of right now my knee feels pretty darn good, and my ankle is a little stiff, but nothing serious.

I guess I was a lucky dog!

Sick Lame, and Lazy

One of the joys of this time of year is black ice.

I took a tumble heading out for work this morning and landed HARD, hyper-extending my knee. I didn’t think I’d get back up, but when I did I could put full weight on the leg, so off to work.

Overall I think I’ll mend without incident, but it aches like a sonofabitch, and I think this evening I’d rather be horizontal.

We’ll see how I feel in the morning.

How They Think

Just was skimming Jason Kilgore’s blog and found a new post up. Its pushing one of those touchy feely sites that seems to be big on talk, light on action, and high on hopes. I won’t bother with it, if it makes people feel better to do things like this fine, so long as they leave me and my rights alone I’m fine with that. Still when it comes to youth violence in America the problem isn’t guns, and it isn’t that kids don’t know how to express themselves these days.

Still the bigger point was Jason’s closing:

Violence is never a good option. Peace and nonviolence start with ourselves, then must first extend to our own families, then to our community. Together we can find ways toward a peaceful solution, and teach this to our children.

Violence is NEVER a good option??? NEVER? First up look who’s talking
jason kilgore with sword-2

Further its not like Mr. Kilgore or his Joyce Foundation masters seem to much care about POLICE having weapons. I thought violence was NEVER a good option?

This is the crux of their “Guns are ONLY For Killing” battle cry. They are anti-killing, even when it is legally and morally justified. Being against justifiable homicide is being against self defense. Being against self defense is being against ownership of your own life, and the lives of those you care about.

Jason has a wife and kids, and he wouldn’t defend them with violence? Hell Jason claims pro-gun people are “Bullies” and have made “threats” against him. Is he a liar?

Sorry Jason, in a very limited scope, violence is the very BEST option. Violence should be avoided at all cost, and have high bars of scrutiny, but at the gravest extremes, it is the very best option, and I will protect those options just as ferociously as I will protect my family and friends.

Uncle Ted on the STOU Speech

I don’t watch political speech because they’re never about ANYTHING, and whatever they mention have littler bearing on reality. Still Ted Nugent watched the speech:

Ted Nugent, the rock star and gun-rights advocate, stuck to his promise to remain respectful as U.S. President Barack Obama delivered the State of the Union address. But after the speech concluded, Mr. Nugent returned to form.

“You just can’t get more of a predictable flowery script,” Mr. Nugent said as reporters swarmed around. “And every time he is done speaking he either does just the opposite or nothing at all.”

Mr. Nugent was among the guests listening from the chamber of the U.S. House of Representatives, where he had been invited by Rep. Steve Stockman (R., Texas). Mr. Obama used his speech to call on Congress to hold votes on some key aspects of his gun-control proposal, including expanded background checks of gun buyers….“A lot of the guys in various law enforcement departments tonight said thanks for saying what we’re not allowed to say,” Mr. Nugent said. “That’s some pretty powerful encouragement — and I’m scary when I’m encouraged that much.”

Between television interviews, Mr. Nugent used a sarcastic tone to react to Mr. Obama’s speech. “I’m so excited that someone’s going to bring about world peace and save the children,” Mr. Nugent said. “I’m relieved, how about you? Are you kidding me!! And thank God he’s going to stop global warming — I was starting to get concerned.”

Well done Ted!

“Gun Death” Skiing

Skiing is dangerous!

Authorities say a 13-year-old Houston boy has died after hitting a tree while skiing at Copper Mountain in Colorado.

The Summit County coroner says Tristan Bartlett wasn’t wearing a helmet when he struck the tree on Friday. The resort says he was on a beginner trail at the time.

Not a “Gun Death”.
