Keyboard + Drool = Kilgore!

LOL gotta love it when Jason Kilgore of Ceasefire Oregon sneaks out of his protected little home to write a post and express his stupidity to where others can comment.

People I’ve talked to are shocked to find out there’s no law against people bringing concealed, loaded handguns onto school campuses if they have a concealed handgun license in Oregon.

Betting he doesn’t do that much. Also I wonder if he points out that in places where the states DO restrict carry, you can carry across the street, legally, but that imaginary line…

Incidents have happened. This March, in Walsenburg, Colo., a volunteer track coach with a concealed handgun license was on school grounds when he accidentally shot himself with his recently purchased handgun, nearly dying. Last September, a security guard here in Oregon lost his gun while patrolling schools in the Salem-Keizer School District. As far as I know, the gun was never recovered. In both cases, the gun was legal on school grounds.

Well there we are, he has two dissimilar antidotes of bad things happening! We should obviously relinquish our rights!

Of course Mr. Kilgore in his limited wisdom wouldn’t call for bans of driving on campus despite multitudes more drunk driving incidents on any given campus….guns are different because they are different!

The solution that I and other advocates suggest is to mandate safe storage of guns at home to keep kids from getting unsupervised access to them.

Actually I know a person who disagrees with Jason Kilgore! BALDR ODINSON!!!

.Pro-gun activists like to claim that locking a gun is enough to keep it out of children’s hands, but most teens, when questioned away from parents, admit that they are able to get the key or know the combination.

Of course “Baldr Odinson” IS Jason Kilgore. Funny how “reasonable” he is! And even if the more conservative stance was the true one, he thinks you should lock up your guns…but not your blades!

If you wish to head off further attempts to allow guns in our schools, there are things you can do. Go to booksnotbullets.com and sign petitions for our local school superintendents, join the Million Mom March and Ceasefire Oregon in a rally against gun violence at the Eugene Water & Electric Board Plaza at 2 p.m. on May 13, call your state legislators, contact your school board, and help spread the word.

Tell them our children deserve to study and play in an environment free of firearms.

Good luck with that Jason. I don’t think any of those groups could fill a Minivan, but you go for that! Further I love how Gun Bans = “environment free of firearms”, because that’s always true.

I’ll close with a quote from the comment section from Ryan J. Daugherty:

Yeah…2nd Amendment TOTALLY doesn’t apply at public universities. But then, if it doesn’t, neither does the 1st Amendment…or any other Amendment…

Anti-freedom, not anti gun!

Oh BTW somebody is declaring “Abuse” for every pro-gun comment (of which all are, I assume its Kilgore himself) so if you got a moment follow the link and “vote up” all the comments to stop the abuse!

Morning Music: Infected Mushroom

So Bluesun reports that Infected Mushroom has dropped a new album, and links a VERY bitchen new song that is RIGHT up my alley.

Now he talks about Dubstep in the post, but I generally consider Infected Mushroom to be more of the Goa Trance category. They’re both similar in that they capitalize on freaky-deaky sound synth, but the beat patterns and the use of bass are VASTLY different.

Oh and for fun I found this video of a live Tel Aviv show.

I LOVE me some electronica, but I won’t lie that sometimes when you see a DJ just simply tapping away at a laptop and a mixing board I wonder how much of a “Live” performance is actually happening. Not that there’s anything wrong with studio recordings at all, just when I see “Live” shows where its a per-recording maybe being futzed with a bit, and lots of light shows I feel like smoke is being blown up my ass.

Nice to see Infected Mushroom use as much analogue instruments as they did in this show.

OH THE OUTRAGE!

LOL found this gem in Jason Kilgore of Ceasefire Oregon’s twitter feed.

Essentially a man with no known next-of-kin dies and they find out he had a healthy amount of Machine Guns and ammo in his collection.

Officers found 114 firearms, including 33 machine guns, and thousands of rounds of ammunition and reloading supplies inside the house.

“This is the largest collection of machine guns that we’ve ever run into,” said Sgt. John Umenhoffer.

MACHINE GUNS!

Oh, and the only dead body was the old man who apparently died of natural causes.

I have to imagine that he took great pleasure in that collection, and given that he had a LOT of reloading supplies he didn’t just look at them and wipe them down with an oilcloth, he shot the bastards!

Mr. Kilgore and his dim-witted ilk would have LOVED to have confiscated this half-million-dollar collection (estimated), and maybe throw him in jail as an “Insurrectionist”. Remember they’re the kind compassionate ones here!

Bill Gets His Deep Thoughts On

Wow, worth a watch!

and he talks about this. My head a little past the halfway point, and I still wonder if it isn’t just intellectual masturbation.

Morning Watch: Paracord

I gotta say, I was scratching my head at the trend to carry para-cord arts and crafts with you everywhere, but the idea does seem too good to not give it a good thought. I need to think of a way to integrate some cord into my wardrobe.

“Gun Death” Sick Bastard

Yeah tools are the cause of crime. That’s why “Gun Death” is such an important metric!

A Missouri teenager accused of pouring gasoline on a 13-year-old, setting him on fire and laughing as he burned, has been charged with first-degree assault.

Joseph D. Gardner, 17, of St. Joseph, had bullied the child in the past and threatened to kill him and his family if he told anyone, according to a probable cause statement from the Andrew County Sheriff’s department. On April 15, Gardner threatened to hit the boy in the face if he did not let him set him on fire, the statement said.

The 13-year-old had first- and second-degree burns on his face and right arm, along with burns in his nose and throat “from inhaling the flames,” the statement said.

Guns? This fucking lunatic is dangerous no matter what’s in his hands. If you use the metric of “Gun Death”, I invite you to allow this little angel to sleep on your couch!

Cherry Picker!

Thirdpower has a great post up on CSGV’s “Insurrectionist Timeline”, that seems to put a lot of weight on right-of-center groups, even to the point of glorifying minor things like Ted Nugent saying shocking things (Dude has Machine guns and kills his own food…if he was really a violent insurrectionist He’d have already ascended to God Emperor of America by now) and a Rand Paul graphic featuring a Garand that they claim is “pointed at the President” (Obviously guns go off by themselves, because as the Marine Corps chant goes, without the soldier the rifle is nothing)

But ignore the violent and racist behavior of the “Occupy” groups, and the vigilante violence of the Black Panther Party, and other left-wing racist groups. Same with Southern Poverty Law Center. Like the The National Organization for Women willing to look the other way with Bill Clinton’s rape of various women, these groups always value their political agenda over their claimed goals.

Further this is yet another example of Anti-Rights cherry picking. They pick a statement, that while isn’t true, they WANT to be true, in this case “Right Wing, Pro Gun People are Terrorists”, then they hunt down data that supports their claim, and ignore any data that doesn’t.

The same can be seen when they use the metric of “Gun Death”, where they ignore all other forms of death and violence. You see overall safety and prosperity isn’t a concern of them, all they care about is banning guns, and they’ll cook the numbers however they need to to make that look appealing.

Also again with “Civilized Nations Not At War”, or somehow claiming that guns cause suicide.

Yes the US has a TON of guns. We do! Yeah our criminals use guns. Yeah people killing themselves do favor firearms (but only about 50% of suicides every year are by guns…further those “Gun Suicides” account for more than half our “gun homicides”) but our Suicide rate isn’t terribly high per-capita. Further our violent crime rate isn’t that high, and violent crime with guns isn’t as high as many other countries that not only are most-definitely “first world”, but have horribly restrictive gun laws.

But hey, those countries don’t need to be counted…well because they fuck up their argument!

Same goes with the antis most-recent beating of the drum against Stand Your Ground. Just read this:

“‘Shoot-first’ laws have already cost too many lives. In Florida alone, deaths due to self-defense have tripled since the law was enacted. Federal money shouldn’t be spent supporting states with laws that endanger their own people,” said Reps. Raul Grijalva of Arizona and Keith Ellison of Minnesota

Catch that? People defending themselves legally from violent crime is a bad thing, as are laws that endanger the lives of violent predators. Yet another polarity flip, by calling the victim of violent crime the “attacker” and the violent criminal who thankfully was NOT successful at completing their deadly crime are framed as the “Victim”.

Yeah, they’re Pro-Criminal, because violent criminals help their agenda…while hurting everybody else. They have big hearts!

Another great example is the talk against background checks. You see criminals can buy guns without background checks when they aren’t mandated. Never a mention that criminals buy guns illegal without background checks where prohibited too, and no matter what its still illegal.

BTW everywhere in America you can buy crack and heroin without a background check too….yeah, don’t look at the man behind the curtain.

The core argument is that the Earth is not round, the sky is not blue, and water is indeed not wet! Anybody thinking otherwise is being silly! These “Truths” are “Common Sense”!

Get your NCIS On!

Dragon Leatherworks has been doing some work with the producers of NCIS. Now you can order your own copy of gear used on the show!

Unfortunately Linoge has screen captures of the poor screen time Abby’s Lunchbox made.

Thankfully Dragon Leatherworks gear is VERY durable so there’s always hope it’ll make its way into more episodes.

OR just buy your own stuff and get your Abby and Ziva on!

“Gun Death” Missed Call

Wow!

A Hegewisch man admitted to stabbing his father to death inside the home they shared, telling a relative his father had ruined his life by not telling him about a phone call from a woman, prosecutors said today.

Not much more to add to that. Its not the tool, its the man.

Don’t Pull Your Punches

Found this via Uncle.

A Colorado teen is upset with screeners at Salt Lake City International Airport. The type one diabetic says TSA agents were abrupt, rude and were responsible for breaking her $10,000 insulin pump. A pump she has to have to survive.

Savannah Barry is mad and on a mission. She wants travelers to be warned before they walk through TSA security. “They need to get with the program and have some education across the board for TSA.”

They DO get training in the TSA. They’re trained to find contraband and stop terrorists. They have been 100% unsuccessful at that. Further even if they DID catch terrorists and found dangerous weapons (as opposed to nail clippers and novelty lighters) they would be doing it through a blatant disregard of the 4th Amendment, as well as the laws we have against sexual assault.

More training won’t solve this, just like more repairs won’t get that tractor that’s been sitting at the back 40 for the last 50 years running again, or that more research will get those hokey “perpetual motion machines” to ignore the laws of physics.

That dog don’t hunt! Just disband it YESTERDAY and be done with the blue-gloved perverts!

Savannah then showed agents a doctor’s note explaining that the sensitive insulin pump should not go through the body scanner. She says she was told to go through it anyway. “When someone in a position of authority tells you it is – you think that its right. So, I said, Are you sure I can go through with the pump? It’s not going to hurt the pump? And she said no, no you’re fine.”

The 16-year-old walked into the scanner with some serious reservations “My life is pretty much in their hands when I go through a body scan with my insulin pump on.” She was right to be worried. She says the pump stopped working correctly. “Coming off an insulin pump is rough. You never know what is going to happen when you are not on the insulin pump.”

She says TSA agents then made the situation worse when they didn’t know what to do about her juice and insulin. “She said, because we don’t have the machines to scan the juice to make sure this is not an explosive we do have to do a full body pat down and search your through your bags.” Of course, that’s what she wanted in the first place, but it was too late.

The TSA was founded under the misguided intention to keep us safer. In fact all it accomplishes is harming innocent people through sexual assault, wholesale theft, incompetence, and negligent wastes of our time.

No, Don’t Train them, it won’t get any better. DISBAND THEM!

I wish people who have every reason to see the light defend these criminals!

Again: DISBAND THE TSA YESTERDAY!
