My point is that I’m tired of hearing people whine. If I had the power, I’d take each and every one of these class-baiting twits to the real world and let them see what poverty really looks like. I’d show them people who come from huts made out of garbage who are working their tails off to get out of that hut. I’d show them women who have to carry weapons every day, not so they don’t have their purse stolen, but so that they’re not kidnapped and raped. I’d show them graveyards full of the people who tried to make things better, but were rewarded with a bullet in the head for their trouble.

Then I’d show them the poorest of the poor here in America, a place that gives away free food, shelter, clothing, education, medical help, and just about anything else a person needs in order to not only stay alive, but to thrive and become a producing member of society if they would only care enough to do it.

Go read the whole thing, its worth it.

Oh PLEASE!

Looks like New Hampshire is looking to dump their permit requirement.

New Hampshire’s resident Permit costs $10, is an un-laminated sheet of paper with no photo, and there is no training requirement. Essentially they file paperwork and run a NICS check and maybe a few other checks. It takes a week from start to finish.

Of course this seems lax by some, but they have no problems with it. Vermont next door is the only state that doesn’t even issue a carry permit. Vermont law has nothing expressly legal or illegal about carrying a gun. The idea is if you can own it, you can carry it no matter what the law says.

Of course New Hampshire got themselves a “Progressive” Governor that thought that as many “Progressives” do that raising fees will raise revenue, and they jacked the $20 non-resident permit up to $100. Sorry, I’ll just carry on my Florida card until this law goes through.

So keep pushing, Granite Staters! You might as well Join the 21st Century, you’re close enough as is!

Occupy Drama Llama

I read this the other day, and knew it was more “Progressive” hand-wringing. You see “Progressives” are dependent on the government for their lives, and the system they have created is based on “Victim-hood”. This is why we see so many fabricated claims of racism, because its a DISADVANTAGE for minorities that the Jim Crow era is done. If they can’t pretend that such-and-such a group is a modern day Klan then they have nobody to blame but themselves. Same goes for Joan Peterson attempting to paint her Sister’s death as something relevant to her cause. So when I read this headline I smelled bullshit:

Someone threw an IED into OccupyMaine’s tent city yesterday morning…One witness said this type of bomb could have caused a lot more damage if certain things were added and a lot of campers are fearful of another attack. Thankfully no one was injured last night but police investigators were on scene for 2 hours to identify the chemicals used and to try to find out who is responsible.

I’m a guy. I’m amused by things that make loud noises. I’ll occasionally grab some dry ice and put it in a drink bottle with some warm water and then put the lid on tight. With a good seal the sound is about the same as a .22 pistol.

A similar type prank is to make a toilet cleaner bomb.

Yeah vaporized toilet cleaner isn’t the healthiest thing in the world, but really wallowing in all the human waste from these hippies not using proper bathroom facilities is far more dangerous.

Its a prank, but they want to pretend that “The Man” is out to get them…rather than a couple of Jocks in Mom’s car.

They are drama queens trying to pretend they are relevant.

Hey Whiner! You don’t like the cops tear gassing you, DON’T RIOT!

BTW remember all those stories about the cops deploying flashbangs and CS gas on the Tea Party Rallies?

If you want to be taken seriously you’re going to need to grow the hell up. Also you’re going to need to organize rather than being just a rabble. When you have no group unity everybody’s voice is the same. That means that those of you who are speaking against the bank and industry bailouts and the tax code are on the same level as the Anti-Semites and the Anarchists.

And of course he’s hardly the only one.

Like it or not, but these people speak for you because you GAVE them that power, and welcome them with open arms.

“Fat Tax”

So was talking to the wife this morning:

Her: “They have a ‘fat tax’ in Hungary.”

Me: “Yeah they’re Hungry!” *Rimshot* (NICE ONE Weer’d Beard!) *High Five*!

But yeah:

In an effort to address rising obesity rates and health care costs, Hungary on Thursday implemented a law imposing special taxes on foods with high fat, salt and sugar content. The move comes as other European countries also consider policies to fight obesity.

This is why I always put quotes around “Progressive”. So much for “My Body, My Choice”. You see that only counts when it comes to anal sex and killing the unborn. Smoking cigarettes, Doing Body Modification, and eating food you think is yummy…well that the STATE knows best for you.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has said, “Those who live unhealthily have to contribute more.” In other words, the new law is based on the idea that those whose diets land them in the hospital should help foot the bill, particularly in a country with a health care deficit of €370 million.

See here’s the reason why we need to shy away from National Socialized Healthcare, Because somebody who works hard to stay in shape but occasionally likes some fried chicken, or some yummy chocolate, and likes to sit back and enjoy a fine cigar gets to subsidize those who sit on the couch and eat hotdog rolls right out of the bag.

You see the reason why the “Progressives” want universal healthcare is because their core constituency, those who don’t work, and expect the government or their “Village” to take care of them, need lots of healthcare, but they can’t afford it because they can only afford what the government gives to them, so they need healthy people to foot the bill.

But of course when something is free people abuse it. (Just talk to an ER Nurse or Doctor about the people who come in for simple treatments) Make all healthcare as free as the ER suddenly all avenues of the medical field will be just as crowded and abused (including Doctors who will be looking into jobs in private industry and research rather than the trial-by-fire that is medical school and residency) so they need more money to make up the shortfalls…so they decide to tax.

OR we could just take care of our own selves, and if our neighbor needs help they can ASK for it.

Of course this is coming here. We must be vigilant.

“Gun Death” Short Flight

OK so first here’s a death with another common household item.

Mary Ann Rivera was charged in November 1970 with murdering her husband, Cruz Rivera, by throwing hot grease on him on Oct. 14, 1970, according to court records…In addition to the hot grease, she also threw other liquids, although a grand jury at the time was unaware of the other substances, according to the records. The case appears to have gone cold after the felony indictment was filed in 1970 in Harris County District Court.

Sounds like a pretty awful way to die, but of course not a “Gun Death”, right. So why are we talking about a 1970 murder today?

According to court documents, Rivera poured hot grease on her husband at their Moody Park home, KHOU reported. Rivera was arrested, posted bail and then fled with her children.

Officials tracked her to Lake Park, just north of the Florida border.

Not sure the whole history of her time on the lamb, but something tells me they just didn’t look to hard.

Kinda chilling when you think a Murderer could have just skipped town and spent the majority of their life free and clear of the law. That’s bad justice right there.

Like a Brick Shithouse

Seriously, CRKT makes a HELL of a knife. The Boss today asked me to put a new edge on her Gekkota as it had gone dull and had a few patches of rust from exposure to sea water during a dive trip.

Thought I’d take a group photos of the Gekkotas in my house:

So on the left is the Wife’s that’s seen some keychain use, but overall its received light duty, and has spent a good deal of time on the shelf.

The middle is mine that I’ve had for over a year-and-a-half where its ridden in my pocket with my keys every damn day. The left is the Boss’ knife after I cleaned it up and tossed a fresh edge on the blade.

Honestly there is so little difference between these three knives. One is practically brand new, one had been bouncing with my keys for over a year, and one has been used hard (I got pissed seeing the Boss opening her boxes with her keys, and she wasn’t interested in carrying a proper pocket knife, so this is her ONLY knife, and it gets used almost as often as my EDC knife gets used) and had some exposure to seawater.

Can hardly tell the difference between the three

A Look at HR 822 from INSIDE Anti-Gun States

So the antis are absolutely terrified of HR 822. Of course the most egregious anti-gun states are harping about it because it gets rid of their arbitrary and often racist means of discrimination against people exercising a natural right.

But as a Massachusetts resident I’ve seen what HR 822 will do first hand. First give a quick skim of this list, when I first moved here I lived in Medford Massachusetts where they do not issue carry permits to anybody who isn’t politically connected. Period, full stop. Unless you can hurt the chief of police politically, your rights don’t exist.

Now fast forward to today, I live in one of them “Green” towns where the permits are “Shall Issue” (BTW this is how “May Issue” states work anyway. Its not like my character changed, simply the town will issue you a permit, or it won’t there is no “Discretion” involved), Now I can carry EVERYWHERE in the state. I can, and regularly DO carry in Boston, I carry in Cambridge, I carry in my old neighborhood of Medford. You see while the permits are issued by the town police, the permit is a STATE document. Meaning if its good in my town, its good in every Massachusetts town.

The same thing happened to Dragon when he was living in New York. One county would issue permits to anybody who qualified, the next one over to nobody…but the guy from the Shall-issue County can carry in the “No Issue” County without issue.

Same for Philadelphia and their call for the “Florida Loophole”, you see Philadelphia routinely breaks the law by denying permits to qualified individuals who may have had run-ins with the law. Nothing serious, as a conviction, as that would disqualify you, but things like traffic tickets, or being arrested. (BTW that would make ME ineligible, as I was arrested, tho because it was a paperwork error I had committed no crime and was not convicted…but that’s enough for the criminal that run Philly), the “Florida Loophole” is simply stating that a lawful person can get a Florida (or really any other state recognized by Pennsylvania, which there are quite a few) carry permit, and carry under THAT permit. The Florida permit is more restrictive because Florida requires a training class and live fire, while PA doesn’t, but it’s a way around the criminal practices by Philly. And like any other state, if you have a permit issued by another town you can carry in Philly without issue.

California is the Brady Campaign #1 state, and they are BRUTAL to the right to keep and bear arms. But like the other states if you live in the right county, you can carry state-wide un-molested.

These states aren’t saying anything about this. They really shouldn’t either, because its stupid to think that somebody who can carry lawfully in Arlington Mass suddenly can’t be trusted when they cross the town line into Cambridge. Or somebody who lives in San Bernadino county suddenly becomes dangerous when they cross into LA.

But what you’re telling me is that somehow I’m trusted by the State of Massachusetts to carry here, but as soon as I cross the border into New York, or Connecticut or Rhode Island I become some hell-bent criminal?

Also I was looking at Wisconsin’s CCW Reciprocity list and I noticed that I’m legally allowed to carry in about 45 states…but when Wisconsin recognizes permits, mine won’t be one of them. How does that make any sense? Are 45 other states wrong?

Yeah, its crazy we even need to discuss this law.

“Progressive” Hypocrisy

First we had President Obama, who is a smoker sign a bill banning cigarets.

Now we have Michelle Obama who’s becoming the Tipper Gore for Healthy eating being a glutton and a garbage gut.

While plugging her new book, “Paula Deen’s Southern Cooking Bible,” the feisty TV chef took a pot shot at Michelle for gorging herself on greasy french fries, fatty hot chicken wings and sugary deep-fried Snickers bars!…“She’s no different than the rest of us,” Paula said about Michelle in a new interview.

Paula added: “She probably ate more than any other guest I ever had on the show! She kept eating even during commercials. Know what (the Obamas’) favorite foods are? Hot wings. Y’know – those kinds of foods that aren’t necessarily top-of-the-list healthy foods.”

“Michelle now deeply regrets ever being on Paula’s show,” added the source. “There are a lot of digs she would have been able to brush off, but portraying her as a high-calorie gorger during her crusade for healthy eating is crossing the line.”

Paula isn’t lying, every time the Whitehouse has a dinner Michelle picks out some greasy comfort food. Now there’s NOTHING wrong with that. I love me some greasy food, and I’m always game for another trip to the buffet. Those of us who find our selves eating unhealthy food do it because it taste GOOD! Better yet, with exercise and moderation you can be quite healthy. (Reason TV covered this issue quite well here)

But don’t push to limit what we can chose from while stuffing your face with whatever you please. Oh and that includes your cigarettes, Barry!

But this is from the administration that hires a tax cheat to run the IRS, and funds groups that commit voter fraud and support criminals. Rules are for OTHER people
