Great Picture

So Old NFO threw us a nice little party one evening, and while we were there there were a TON of holsters from Dragon Leatherworks, so Dennis asked if we could get a group photo of the event.

The photo is from JayG at the far left, then Zercool, LinkP, myself, and then the holster-maker himself. Most are strong-side Talons of various trim levels, my and Jay’s are flatjacks with snake skin, and Dennis is wearing the cross-draw Talon option.

They are indeed great holsters, 100% hand made, and made-to-order. Check them out. If they can make me look good, think of what you’ll look like!

“Gun Death” Hotel Fight

If We ban guns it’ll make us all safer, right?

Police have charged an 18-year-old woman after a stabbing death last Wednesday outside a North End hotel…Police said a verbal fight broke out between Fontaine and another group of women, and ultimately resulted in the fatal stabbing.

You see guns make murder far to easy so that’s why we need to ban them. And such murders aren’t relevant to any debates, hence why this story doesn’t count as a “Gun Death”

Home Again

Back home in Massachusetts. Kinda creepy how a loss of freedom feels so good. I won’t be able to open carry now, but I’ll be sleeping in my own bed and I’m home with my lovely wife.

Still again the convention was a blast! Sad to see it over.

In closing here’s a shitload of knives that I bought at the convention:

Gonna be doing reviews on most of them!

But that’s later. Sleep and laundry now!

Like a Skunkape in Your Mouth

Stopped at a gas station/convenience store in the dead-middle of nowhere on the I-80 corridor in Pennsylvania, and I saw this:

I wasn’t hungry so I didn’t buy one, but this proves not only that skunkape is real, but that they’re farming them for the meat!

Homeward Bound

We’re on the Road, had a great time at the convention, and got lots for show-and-tell to come!

Also it was great to meet and hang out with all of the people at the convention.

“Gun Death” Dogs

Anti-rights people often talk about guns as if they “Just Go Off”. Nope a modern gun will only discharge when the trigger is pulled. Some things do “Just Go Off”

Police call it a vicious attack on 48 year old Margaret Salcedo, who was out walking in Truth or Consequences Sunday afternoon when four pit bull mixes mauled her.

Witness Laura Russell heard the commotion and immediately called 911. She told KOB Eyewitness News 4 that Salcedo tried to grab her phone but a dog bit her arm and she dropped the phone.

Russell says the dogs bit Salcedo all over saying she looked like a rag doll.

Authorities think the attack lasted at least three minutes. The T or C police chief says an officer quickly arrived on scene and shot into the air to scare the dogs, and when a dog charged at the officer he shot and killed it.

People claim I should lock my guns up to keep people safe, but my guns will do nothing on their own. Dogs can.

This is not a slight on all dogs, just a general statement.

Also this is a reason to carry a gun, animal attacks don’t just happen in the wilderness, they can happen in the city as well. This is a “Gun Death?” story where a gun very well could have saved a life.

Throwback to the 80s

I have found my people!

Nancy and shorter-half and myself, all rocking Galco shoulder rigs.

Now let me put on my pastel suit, hop into a Ferrari and blast “Owner of a Lonely Heart” by Yes.

Oh Nos!

Nuts, I think my camera totally crapped out.

I guess the remainder of the convention will be photographed on my Droid.

Remember two is one and one is none.

“Gun Death” Fratricide

Sometimes family ties turn bitter and violent.

Investigators said they don’t know what caused the attack between the brothers, but they apparently had been having an ongoing dispute.

The victim was identified as Jesse Joe Vasquez, 33, of Crowley, who was found dead in the Dallas residence…In the home, Dallas police found Jesse Joe Vasquez who appeared to have been stabbed and cut multiple times, according to Dallas police reports.

Do you think this story would have been any more tragic if a gun had been used? If not, why do we give any respect to those who use foolish metrics like “Gun Death”?

Evening Picture

This evening went to a couple of posh swares with lots of bloggers and pro-rights activists. I’ll talk more on that later, as its late and I should sleep. Still:

I open carried for the first time. It wasn’t a big deal…which is exactly how it should be.

Dennis was making quite a showing with his Dragon Leatherworks holsters there were at least half-a-dozen of his holsters at the parties. That there is my Flatjack

Concealed verses open carry should only be a question of your wardrobe. As the evening wore on I put on a jacket and my holster was concealed again. Simple as that.
