The Anti-Gun Protest

If it happened I didn’t see it.

No word if it didn’t happen or they just didn’t want to come in sight of the convention center.

That’s dedication to the cause!

**UPDATE**I guess they did show up. Couple of bloggers are uploading pictures. Stand by.

**UPDATE** posts with pictures here

Your Morning Picture

Jay wearing the Snubbie-from-hell in a Dragon Leatherworks python skin flatjack
With brand new matching VZ Grips.

All topped off with a Gadsden Flag shirt. (Oh, I Just noticed Dennis of Dragon Leatherworks with his Desert Eagle 1911 in a Python Skin Talon with the optional Belt Tunnels click to see it in the enlarged image)

Stylin! I’ve chosen to conceal carry this weekend for my physical comfort, and general comfort as I generally don’t belt carry and the convention center is REALLY crowded.

Tilted Kilt

Went to Tilted Kilt last night by the invitation of Crimson Trace.

First up, the food was OK, the service was not great, and frankly ladies walking around in next to nothing isn’t all that interesting to me. Also they demanded all the open carriers disarm in the parking lot, or put their guns in the restaurant office safe.

I will note I was NOT open carrying at the time.

That being said said it was a whos who on blogging, plus our Crimson Trace rep was Iain Henderson, who won the First season of Top Shot, also there was is Chris Reed, winner of Season two. I had a whole lot of fun talking with both of them, not because of Top Shot, a show I haven’t watched, but because they were damn interesting guys. Iain is friggin crazy, and at one point he was indeed licking my head. Chris seemed a little more quiet, but once I got him talking he, Caleb, and I got to exchanging dirty jokes, which is one of my most favorite passtimes.

So I wasn’t a fan of the venue, but it was a great evening in whole.

“Gun Death” Domestic Abuse

Many domestic abuse groups are against gun ownership, claiming that women are often shot by abusive spouses.

A 50-year-old man faces a murder charge in the fatal stabbing of a 43-year-old woman Thursday night at a Woodhaven apartment complex.

Bottom line if you are in an abusive relationship you are in a dangerous situation. GET OUT, because deadly violence is not dependent of if your abusive partner has a gun or not. You do NOT want to become one of my “Gun Death?” stories any more than you want to become a “Gun Death” story touted by the anti-rights bigots.

Karma on the Floor

So most of you may know of the follies of HS Precision

Well the exhibit floor is totally packed here. I’ve actually made note to come back to many vendors when they are less busy.

Well the HS Precision booth is empty and their represntatives look really bored.

One Gentleman stopped by while I was writing this post and asked if they made Browning BAR stocks. They told him “no” and he moved on.

I didn’t say anything to them. Didn’t need to, seems the people have spoken.

Got Here

Wow, traffic sucked, no parking. Did the city think this through?

Well I’m gonna get on the floor and check some stuff out.

Stuck in Traffic

So Pittsburgh is totally locked up with traffic thanks to the NRA Convention.

In the tactical minivan is Jay who never likes sitting in a stationary car. Say Uncle and Dragon.

So yeah all that blog content you’re looking for is right here…and bored.

“Gun Death”: Hit-and-Run

We’re always told by those who use the term “Gun Death” that cars are different than guns.

Police said the mother of a 29-year-old man accused of running down three University of Minnesota students with his car has now been arrested as well.

Diane Bakdash, 66, was charged with accessory after the fact on Monday, police said….On Monday, Timothy Bakdash was charged with two counts of second-degree assault and second-degree murder with a dangerous weapon in connection with the crash that left two students injured and killed 23-year-old Benjamin Van Handel.

According to the criminal complaint for Timothy Bakdash, the person who bought the car involved in the crash overheard a phone conversation with Diane Bakdash and heard her tell him to get rid of the car that night. She also reportedly said she would sign the title.

A Hit-and-run and a Mom covering up the crime. Yeah cars are different than guns, when somebody is murdered with a car anti-freedom trolls don’t count it as “Gun Death”
