Is this News

So pastor Sideburns decides to finally burn a Koran. Good for him, its a dick thing to do, but the 1st Amendment is OK with you being a dick.

Fundamentalist illiterates who have never read the Koran or a newspaper, or likely have a news service get told a Hogwash story by their Imams that Americans all over are burning piles of Korans just because they make such a lovely light. MSM decides to blame muttonchops for his “hatred” (tho let’s face it, its because they hate those who strongly believe in Jesus). The Fundi-illiterates end up killing a bunch of UN people. I personally hate the UN, and frankly while I don’t like murder I can’t shed too much tears for globalist pukes.

Of course Anti-Freedom puke Lindsey Graham thinks the 1st Amendment is a problem that needs “common sense” solutions. Sorry, Lindsey, but the same freedom that protects you from saying asshole things like that are the same that protect Muttonchops.

If you don’t like murder maybe you should be pissed at the angry-mob that stormed the UN…or maybe you should be pissed at the Globalist Pukes for setting up shop in such a savage neolithic land. If you really dislike freedom, maybe you’d be better off in a land where they cut woman’s noses off for being uppity.

This is a land where we respect the freedom of people to do good, evil, or just plain asshole, so long as it only directly harms themselves. And certainly while I may disagree with Muttonchops for his religious and political beliefs, as well as his choice of facial hair, I 100% agree that these troglodytes natural state is murderous angry mobs, and really Muttonchops actions are no more a cause of this than the moon’s rotation.

“Gun Death” Knife Bans

Remember those who want to ban guns will simply ban knives if they ever achieve their current goals.

Zsolt Csikos, 43, died Saturday night after he was stabbed in the Metrotown area of Burnaby. He was discovered lying on the ground outside a condominium building and rushed to hospital, where he died.

Witnesses say they saw a young man slashing Csikos in the neck with a small sword or medium-sized knife.

Of course Canada has very strict knife laws as well….

Investigators say Csikos and Zouaoui knew each other, but are not revealing a motive for the murder.

If you own a knife you’re five-hundred-gojillion times more likely to murder somebody you know….

Mile-High Drop-Top

So whilst flying I realized that Television is an utter wasteland on Sunday afternoon. It was either Jersey Shore, or watch the News Channels. I gave Jersey Shore a try and found it to be the worst shit in the universe and I switched between Fox and CNN. The story of the day appears to be this.

Short story I big hole opened up in the top of a plane while it was at cruising altitude. I was amused by the fact that I was watching coverage of this while flying at cruising altitude. I tapped the wife and pointed to the screen…she saw the images but didn’t hear any of the audio. While we were waiting for our baggage she asked for details, and I told her. She asked how many had died.

None of course….even monster holes like this in the pressure hull of a plane aren’t a big deal, and such flights like this aren’t exactly unheard of. The big risk is the lack of oxygen at those heights, hence why the pilot descended.

And of course again I question why in hell am I not allowed to carry my gun on a plane? I carry at the store, at the movies, on the highway, on buses, on trains, across state lines…all without incident…nor even a discharge of my firearm, where’s the problem again?

Stupid laws written by panicky stupid people!

Snow On My Lawn

We arrived safe-and-sound with an uneventful flight, minus some rather snotty turbulence in a few spots.

There is snow on my lawn…likely won’t last the rest of the day, but the stuff is still there. Gone from pleasantly 80s, and I had forgotten to bring a sweatshirt for the blog meet when the sun went down….wasn’t a problem it was comfortably warm even when I got back to the homestead at 11:30 that night.

Still doesn’t look like much cold temperatures for the next week or so, maybe this was the last gasp of winter.

I got no sympathy for winter!

Heading Home

So we’re ready to leave Florida physically, but mentally we both could stand to have a few more days. When we’re down here with Pop-in-Law there aren’t any big plans, and very little structure, we do what we want and take it easy, and its a great break from the hustle and bussle.

Also the weather is amazingly good, no nasty humidity yet, and it never gets unpleasantly hot, yet the nights never get very cold. That’s gonna really hurt returning to New England.

Last night I borrowed a car and headed up to Ybor city in Tampa to have some burgers and conversation with Robb Allen and a bunch of South East Bloggers. Most I had never met before, but I was pleasantly surprised to see Unix Jedi, Dixie, and little Evie. Dixie and UJ looked about the same, but Evie was Big, and had gone totally mobile since we first met almost a year ago.

I had such an awesome time. Still a little perspective, Tampa is almost 2 hours North from Ft. Meyers. I listened to all of Vicious Circle AND The Nerdist Podcast and still had some time for music in the round trip. No press conference, no gunshow or full-auto shoot, If I increased my readership here its under 5 people (and I wouldn’t know ATM, because my sitemeter widget is down right now). I didn’t even have a beer because I knew I had a long drive and didn’t want to get sleepy. Just Burgers, conversion, and this photo

(If we had framed it better, one of us could have had an Obama halo)

Have you ever heard of an Anti-gun blogger doing this? In the Handgun Podcast Eric often says the anti-gun people want to ban guns because they don’t trust anybody, even themselves. I would add that they also don’t LIKE anybody …even themselves.

I with them, I don’t like them either! But I love my Brothers and Sisters in the gunblogs!

“Gun Death” and Drinking

Those who use “Gun Death” as a metric often say we can’t allow people to carry guns lawfully in bars and restaurant as there might be drunken brawls.

A California man is in jail for the stabbing death of a drinking buddy….The sergeant says Estrada and another man were drinking together when they began fighting. Hudson says in a news release that Estrada stabbed the man several times and fled.

Obviously the best way to stop “Gun Death” is to ban alcohol!

That’ll work!

Hit Piece

Linoge Links and interesting piece

FOX 2’s Murray Feldman Trains on a General Motors Assembly Line: MyFoxDETROIT.com

So a bunch of reporters (their backgrounds and hobbies unknown) show up at a UAW plant and go through an abbreviated training program, then get set lose on a mock assembly line. They totally suck it up, and then jump across any logic to say “Gee I guess UAW workers need to be grossly overpaid for basic labor.

First up this is an assembly line with nothing but “New Hire Trainees”, furthermore I wonder if the plant would hire journalism majors rather than say a guy who worked at Jiffy Lube, or Midas Mufflers and wanted to make more money.

Of course that never happens in the real world. When I worked for the federal observer program I was trained in a classroom with some field work for 2 weeks, then I did a week of fishing trips with a veteran observer, then I had to have all my work checked thoroughly before I was cleared to fly solo. And guess what? In the beginning I sucked ass! With time I became quite proficient. And this was after 4 years of college training, and over a year of similar work.

Now UAW workers are never working solo like I was, they can always have a veteran looking over their shoulder. Also NOBODY can pick up a set of complex skills in a couple of hours (not to mention I wonder if the trainers were doing an intentionally shoddy job to ensure an outcome). But of course those reporters were doing a crappy job SOBER! Many of those UAW grunts do it drunk and stoned!

Of course this reminds me of another hit-piece.
20/20 ran a piece called “If I only had a gun”, and in one segment they did a mock-up of an active shooter attack, something that civilian concealed carry would be a massive benefit.

Not wanting to let the truth get in the way of the agenda they took a bunch of college students who had never handled a gun before, and gave them a rudimentary handgun course, then gave them some bizarre carry rig, instructed them to carry the gun right at their belly-button at 12:00 (a method not used by anybody I know of) and had them “conceal” the gun with baggy cheap t-shirts.

Now to drop somebody with likely less than 20 rounds fired in their life, with an unfamiliar holster, and a poor concealment garment into an active shooter scenario is pretty stacked odds….but to ensure they got the results they wanted 20/20 had a trained SWAT officer play the part of the shooter (Not only unfair, but all the active shooters I can think of, spare Charles Whitman who was a former Marine, and an avid hunter, were people who were not good shots, or had any training) also the person chosen to carry in the mock-class was required to sit in a specific seat, one known to the “shooter”. The only way they could have made it less fair would be to have the shooter call in an air strike and level the building.

This is journalists manufacturing the news they want!

So Many Intersting Points

So first up we have yet another example of left-wing violence. Of course not the angry mob photos of the Statehouse in Wisconsin, you’ll see that left-wing violence is a daily occurrence there.

Next up she’s 26 and lives in a REALLY nice house. I assume its her parent’s and she still lives at home. I’ll also point out that she is still considered a “Child” under the definitions within Obamacare.

Last up is the bad justice side of things in that police interviewed her, and she admitted to making death threats and they left her be. This doesn’t sound like sound judgment to me. Thankfully nobody was hurt.
