Anti-Freedom

So Jay, the other day talked about an Arlington Man who’s gun permit was revoked because of a blog post. Please note that in Massachusetts your permit is not only for carry, but also to BUY and OWN firearms. You have no 2nd Amendment rights in Massachusetts without government permission, and taxation.

Now I am not going to publish or agree with the statement in question. It was not polite, or in good form. That being said this man’s permit has been revoked, but as of yet he has NOT be charged, or convicted of a crime.

In Massachusetts you don’t need to.

Still its good to see the professional bigots aren’t disguising their positon on this. I give you Joan Peterson of the Brady Campaign.

This blogger got himself into very serious trouble for writing threatening words towards elected officials. Some things are just not O.K. to say in public. Your words are read by many and they mean different things to different people. We can disagree here but it is going to be with politeness and respect. It is also going to be with the facts and not hyperbole. It is going to be occasionally heated but with the idea in mind that we may each have our own opinions whic does not necessarily make one of us right and one of us wrong. And it will not b devoid of emotion. Gun violence and guns evoke strong feelings on both sides. In the end, I am asking for common sense.

So “Common Sense” is a person having his property confiscated because somebody thought what he said was rude. Note this is said by a person who support banning of property, and passing government registration.

She is correct, the 1st Amendment does not protect all speech. Hence why we have crimes like criminal threat, Libel, and slander.

You’ll note no charges have been filed. Just a permit revoked and guns confiscated.

They are not only comfortable with this, but they rejoice in it. This is not a Gun story, but a 1st Amendment story.

How about other laws like Registration and “safe storage” Would they be against Police or inspectors entering your home to confirm your cooperation and compliance with the law, even if this is a 4th Amendment violation?

How about excessive fines or prison time for minor violations of their pet laws. Like say somebody caught with a post 1994 magazine that has a capacity greater than 10, or say somebody possessing hollow point Ammunition in the state of New Jersey. How about somebody Who accidentally open carries in Florida or Texas?

You see, those who hate the 2nd Amendment hate all of America’s freedom as well.

Groups like the Joyce Foundation or the Brady Campaign are simply groups looking to nullify the Bill of Right, as well as all individual liberty.

Make sure they stand for their actions!

“Gun Death” Toddler and Cord

Malaysia has very strict gun control, and therefore very low “Gun Death”.

(Bernama) — A five-year-old boy was found strangled with a curtain cord at his home in Taman Timah here Tuesday night.

Tan Yin Sheng was playing alone in the living room of the house in Jalan Putra when the mishap was believed to have occured about 9.30pm.

The police have ruled out foul play.

Good thing he didn’t find a loaded gun, or there might have been a “Gun Death”.

I Call Stunt

So the photo isn’t just a mock-up, there is a 28 gauge Taurus Judge. I won’t shed an opinion on it because even Chuck Hawks can’t give me a #00 load for the 28 gauge. I know the 20 Gauge is certainly a load where the shotgun starts showing promise in self-defense, and I know I would not trust my life to a .410, there’s a split in there somewhere, I don’t know where the 28 rides that split.

Still given that 28 Gauge is 0.55 Caliber, unless they can get an ATF exemption for hunting and sporting, I suspect it would be an NFA item. Since the gun in the video is a prototype, I suspect its either a publicity stunt, or they are waiting on the ATF.

Don’t go stocking up on 28 Gauge shells, is what I say!

“Gun Death” Massager

OK I found this story and its just plain strange.

A Florida woman accidentally strangled herself on Christmas Eve while attempting to relieve some pain with an electric neck massager. Michelle Ferrari-Gegerson, a 37-year-old physician residing in a suburb of Fort Lauderdale, was discovered lying unconscious on her bedroom floor by her husband. She was wrapping presents.

By the time paramedics came, Ferrari-Gegerson was declared dead.

I have NO idea how that happened or what EXACTLY was going on just before the time of death.

I WILL say that this is not a “Gun Death”, so her death, while tragic, does not count.

President Scumbag

Found this tape of LBJ ordering up some Haggar Slacks. If a tape like this ever got out today it would wreck a Man’s career. Those were different times, and President Johnson was quite the Scumbag.

Good for a laugh.

Glad You’re OK

Seems that Old NFO had himself a run-in with a miscreant.

He started in again, “Well she used to live here, hey man can I” and I saw him look down and I’m guessing he caught sight of the .45 I had on my hip, because he suddenly decided to be elsewhere…

He may not even realize it, but that was certainly a Defensive Gun Use. Glad he didn’t have to use it. Go over and read the whole thing, but the scammer did get arrested that night when he finally DID find somebody willing to let him into their apartment.

Glad you’re OK, NFO, and you did the right thing, don’t second-guess yourself!

More Lefty Stupid

From hate-filled bigot Kay in Maine

What happened to Ronald Reagan when he was surrounded by people with guns? That’s right. He was shot. To say that if everyone carried a gun, we would all be protected and bad people would be shot before he/she could kill more people is idiotic. Reagan was surrounded by guys with guns and the shooter was still able to get him along with others who were carrying guns.

I think insanity must be a pre-requisite for being a Marxist. First up President Reagan was surrounded by people with guns for most of his political career. Certainly as Governor of California, and until the day of his death. Same goes with every President since. Are you saying Obama should relinquish his secret service detail? Of course not.

2nd Kay’s little prattling about “What if Everybody Was Carrying a Gun?” sounds really funny when you note that she lives in Central Maine.

Hey Kay, when you’re out in public, you very well may be the ONLY person WITHOUT a gun. Portland has its share of Anti-Gun Wussies, and the coast is covered with transplants from Massachusetts, New York, and New Jersey. But if you do your big shopping at the Bangor Mall, or in Lewiston or Auburn, there’s probably a gun in damn near every coat around you.

Is it really that scary?

LOL

I probably see 90% of all the Glenn Beck clips I watch when I cruising lefty blogs. I do know a few honest-to-God conservatives who watch Beck, but it seems to me that the majority of his Audience are far-left drones tuning in for their Emmanuel Goldstein Two Minuet Hate.

I Smell a Ruse

Assault weapons’ menacing looks, coupled with the public’s confusion over fully-automatic machine guns versus semi-automatic assault weapons –anything that looks like a machine gun is assumed to be a machine gun– can only increase the chance of public support for restrictions on these weapons.

-Josh Sugarmann, of the Violence Policy Center/Joyce Foundation

That was the big lie that won the biggest win for the modern gun control movement, and also happens to be the LAST major victory for them. The Federal Assault Weapon Ban. Since this law was passed there hasn’t been a year that I haven’t encountered at least one person who thought the AWB banned Full-auto firearms. That was almost 17 years ago!! People voted for the lie, not reality.

In reading the sources for this post I’m starting to see a pattern. You’ll notice when Anti-Rights activists not only exclusively use the word “Clips”, but they also seem to focus on 30-round magazines for handguns, while pushing bans that limit magazine capacity to 10.

We need to get the word out in the debate. They are not asking who uses 30 round Glock magazines, they’re asking who’s using 30 round AR magazines, 30 round AK magazines, 20 Round FAL, magazines, 20 Round M1A magazines, but also 15 round Glock Magazines, and any other handgun who’s capacity is over 10.

You need to chime in. Do you carry a gun that holds more than 10 in the standard capacity? Do you have a nightstand gun that holds more than 10? How about a range gun?

What does your local police force carry? Chances are your local PD carries a double-stack duty pistol. (My town issues .40 Caliber Glocks, I mostly see the Glock 23, which has a standard capacity of either 13 or 15).

Don’t let them push the lie! They talk about 30 round, and 33 round, and while there’s nothing wrong with those magazines, they are talking extremes, they say 30, they want 10!

Don’t give them an inch!

“Gun Death” Plow

The Anti-Rights people are often challenged to explain why Police are always exempted from gun control laws. I mean if a “High Capacity” Magazine in a Semi-Auto pistol is a weapon only designed to kill innocent people quickly and wantonly, then why do we give one to every cop on the beat? The most coherent answer is “Cops are outgunned on the street and need these weapons to compete with the criminals.” The arms race continues…

A sold-out house at the Air Canada Centre bowed in silence for Russell, who was killed in the line of duty Wednesday after being struck by a stolen snowplow

We need to arm police with snow plows to compete…

My heart goes out to the family of the fallen officer, but I will point out that in the eyes of the anti-rights activists, this does not add to Canada’s low “Gun Death” rate.
