“Gun Death” Suicide

The anti-rights people love to use the 30,000 Gun Death figure. Of course this figure is dishonest at its core, as it includes Police shootings, as well as civilian justifiable homicides using firearms, but within this number 17,000 of these gun deaths are suicides. What’s particularly callus of this number is that only accounts for 50% of the suicide in the US. So much like murders with weapons other than firearms, anti-rights advocates disregard suicides that cannot be counted a “Gun Deaths”

A Northeastern University lab tech’s suspected suicide by cyanide — 30 miles away from campus — is raising public safety fears over easy access to deadly chemicals days after the ninth anniversary of 9/11.

The 30-year-old NU lab tech — identified by the school as Emily Staupe — was found dead early yesterday morning in her Milford bedroom along with what initial tests show was a plastic bag filled with crystallized cyanide, according to Milford and state police.

Cyanide is very toxic stuff, its also very useful in cellular biology studies because of how it disrupts biochemistry. But of course for those who speak in terms of “Gun Death” this case is irrelevant, as she didn’t use a firearm.

Of course other nannies will make life harder for people doing research using Cyanide because a small number of individuals misbehave. So in the end its all very similar….

Gay Bashing

Often many cases of anti-gay hate-crimes are perpetrated without the use of firearms. Hell growing up in Portland there were two famous (tho also controversial) cases of Gay Bashing. One involved a gay man being tossed off a bridge to his death, another involved a man being thrown through a plate-glass window, where he bled to death on the sidewalk. This case Was Arson and I’m glad nobody was hurt.

After being victims of an arson and having the word “queers” spray painted on their garage, the lesbian couple is fearful for their safety….

The couple, who have been together for more than 16 years, were in Nashville celebrating the five-year anniversary of moving into their Vonore home, the night it was burned to the ground.

Carol Stutte’s daughter from a previous marriage would have been at the home at the time, but decided to go with the couple to Nashville.

“She would’ve been trapped,” Carol Stutte said.

Carol Stutte said she and Laura have been being harassed and threatened, specifically by one neighbor, on and off for about five years.

While I gun wouldn’t have helped in THIS crime, the women are fearful of visiting their own property. They should seek out their local Pink Pistols Chapter.

I will note that all of the above violent acts did not involve the use of a firearm, so they are irrelevant stories in the eye of anti-gun bigots, who aren’t much worse than the people who made the threats.

Hit the Road

Gonna be a crazy weekend, I need to work, and I have a wedding in Maine I have to go to, so that’s a LOT of wheel time I’ll be logging. If you have a long drive, or a long slog at the office during a weekend when sensible people are at home, of course you can tune in to Vicious Circle.

Being that I only missed a few minuets when I was freshening my drink, or getting a snack, instead I’ll be catching the BB&Guns show I missed on Thursday. And of course I’ll need to listen to Dan Savage talking about sex and kink. And I’ll round the whole thing off with some Michael Bane talking wholesome gun fun.

And of course because I’m a total troglodyte all of these podcasts with some music are burned to CD! I have it in the works to get a phone that also works as an MP3 player, as well as getting a radio transmitter for it. (My Current HTC tilt can run Windows Media Player, but it has a proprietary headphone jack, and I’m not interested in paying serious money for a set of ear buds, and don’t want to wade through the mire that will be required to find an FM transmitter for it.)

Have a great weekend, y’all!

“Gun Death”: The Big Boy

Never been to a Big Boy Restaurant, They’re very safe as they have ZERO “Gun Death”

Three people were rushed to the hospital early Saturday after a fight broke out at Frisch’s Big Boy on Alexis and Lewis.

Investigators say a male attacked two brothers with box cutters around 3 a.m., near the entrance of the restaurant.

One of the victims received serious cuts to the back.

The suspect was cut in the cheek during the altercation.

Police say they’re not sure who actually started the fight, so no charges have been filed yet.

Just like the September 11th attacks, Box cutters aren’t guns, so the havoc they wreak doesn’t count! Again, maybe its the violent people that are the problem, not the tools used.

About that Time

Vicious Circle at 9pm Eastern 8 Central. Alan has told me it’ll be live tonight. We’ll see if he’s lying or not.

I’m going to go mix myself one of these for the show

I’m dumping the Vodka from mine and using New Amsterdam Gin as its very mellow in the first place which is why the Vodka is added, and I’ll be using a lime garnish as I don’t have any lemons, and I prefer Limes.

This site RULES

Been reading Jalopnik for a while, but I think I need to read it more often.

Check out these vids!

Gotta love how the drivers watch their wings fly off on the rear-view mirrors and they just gun it on down the track! Also gotta love the guys standing around laughing at the calamity. I don’t blame them!

More Moonbattery

If you can’t laugh at the insane left What can you laugh at.

Kinda interesting that a woman who runs her blog on lies, misinformation, and obsessing about the genitals of other people would type all that up.

Also amusing that a woman who supports the actions of radical Islam would somehow think it wouldn’t be at all embarrassing to attempt to claim the Tea Party is pushing a brand of Sharia.

Go click over and laugh, and make sure to leave a comment. Like all moonbat anti-freedom leftists she moderates comments, but that doesn’t mean she won’t read what you have to say 😀

Before you get your your story wrong

Paul Bunyan was born in Maine anything you may have heard to the contrary is WRONG! I have it on good authority that Old Town used one of his slippers as a prototype!

Mountain Climbing

Being that Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont, as well as Western Mass have some nice little mountain roads and passes you can drive, and the wife likes the scenery come fall foliage, I have a love-hate relationship with these kind of roads.

On one hand they’re pretty, and allow me some more technical driving than my daily commute. On the other hand, I’m not really enjoying the scenery keeping a close eye on the road (and the cliff face below) and they are hardly relaxing.

The wife once suggested as a vacation we drive up Mt. Washington. My answer “NO!”, not only would that be a lot of miserable driving that I won’t enjoy a second of, while I hear the Mrs. ooh and ahh over the vistas, but its terrible on your vehicle.

These guys are friggin’ INSANE!!

Still cool video with some great shots of the car going CRAZY. Also I liked the little tutorial on exactly how rally car navigators work.

Compare Al Franken to This Guy

In Maine we have a LOT of Lumberjack shows, I friggin’ LOVE them. It has all the beauty of practical pistol shooting, as you can see where real people would use these skills, or imagine a bunch of loggers at the log camp after a hard day’s work doing a little informal competition.

Can you belive this guy is from the same state as Stewart Smally and Joan Peterson of the Brady Campaign?
