Why They Lose

Gun Rights Activists do what we do because we believe in the cause, enjoy the hobby, and know that you’re better off carrying a gun with you where legal, and it would be better if they were legal EVERYWHERE.

Anti-Gun people do what they do because they are paid to.

I posted a stupid twitter comment from an anti called “GunSensus” , and honestly I assumed it was just some ultra-lefty who doesn’t like guns or people being free. I should have known better.

Seems the ONLY people who support gun control openly are paid lobbyists for either the Joyce Foundation, or the Brady campaign, and most often BOTH!

PS: What Joyce group does this anti-rights troll work for? Anybody know?

Meanwhile all the bloggers I know have day jobs and make nothing, or almost nothing from their blogs, and while there are groups like the NRA, Second Amendment Foundation, and local groups doing awesome work to roll back oppressive gun laws and write new and effective gun laws, they are dwarfed and powered by the sheer number of grassroots supporters of gun rights.

You lose, antis because A) You’re wrong and you push policy that empowers bad people and gets good people hurt and killed, and B) Statistically you don’t exist!

I’ve noticed the recent trend of “Every gun passes through the hands of an adult”.

Obviously a coordinated strategy to push for background checks.
It reminds me of the movie “Dude Where’s My Car”

Do you remember the scene at the drive through?

    “And Then”

So they get “Universal Background Checks” but those don’t stop “gun crime” so..

And then? More restrictive laws. Rinse and repeat.
The average person on the street is catching on to the futility of their strategy. That is why so few people are supporting the antis, that is why they have to pay people to astroturf.

I was surprised at how much I loved “Dude Where’s My Car”. There were a ton of classic speech gags like that that reminded me of old Abbot and Costello bits.

You are right tho, there is ALWAYS an “And Then…” after every law. We know why. They aim to ban all guns, they’ve made it perfectly clear.

Hell just look at the “Assault Weapons Ban”, they made guns with certain features “Assault Weapons” and illegal for sale. So gun makers removed those features and continued selling the guns.

This is the same process as the ban on Energy Malt Beverages. FourLoko was “bad” because it had both caffeine and Alcohol, so the company removed the caffeine and is selling the new product today. We call that “Compliance”

But Bushmaster selling a Ban-Compliant Carbine, or Century Grinding off Bayonet Lugs and welding nuts over the threading that once held a flash hider on an AK kit was “Exploiting a Loophole”, and places like California and failed bills like HR-1022 sought to make it even harder for companies to comply.

Of course in California “bullet buttons” and “Monster Grips” have made for great ban compliant rifles.

But the antis still aren’t happy because “Assault Weapons” were never their concern it was just what they could GET.

Their concern is lawfully held guns in the hands of lawful citizens.

Another example of how they give the game away is the “ProtestEasyGuns” Twitter tag.

Note that it’s not about a type of weapon or a type of user, nope it’s just against the ease of purchase.

They also loose because C) they’re just plain, old fashioned jerks.

    And nobody likes jerks.

  3. I don’t recognize the new ass hat. I made sure to start destroying his latest tweet after looking him up.

I have experienced first hand the BS that is the NICS background check system.

Another interesting thing they do is make tons of fake accounts on twitter to create the illusion of fire support.

  4. I think that gunchecks is the house Twit of FixGunChecks.org. There is a linked twitter account on that website, but no tweets. It wouldn’t surprise me to find out that they are so incompetent that they messed that up.
