“Gun Death” Too Much Fluid

This is just terrible!

A 17-year-old high school football player has passed away after drinking too much water during practice.

Zyrees Oliver, a star student and athlete at Douglas County High School in Georgia, drank two gallons of water and two gallons of Gatorade to stave off cramps last Tuesday, his relatives said.

He felt better that evening but on Wednesday morning – just hours before he was set to start his first day of his senior year – he collapsed in his Douglasville home and was rushed to hospital.

Doctors said Zyrees was brain dead after suffering devastating brain swelling from water intoxication, family members told WSB-TV in Atlanta.

Man, we covered a similar death a while back where a young girl was FORCED to drink too much fluid and died the same way, but it appears this guy did it on his own volition. How’d he comfortably drink THAT much fluid?

Either way, it isn’t a “Gun Death” so no concern will be given by those who care about our safety.

About That Smart Gun

Hmm turns out EVERYTHING gun advocates said about the Armatix iP1 was right!

Yep the gun is not that smart, and not that safe. Of course the NRA will always be the boogie man and a straw man:

Weinberg said that if opposition to the New Jersey law is stopping smart guns from being sold, she will seek to have it changed – if the NRA agrees to stop standing in the way of smart gun technology.

“If, in fact, the NRA will make a public commitment to not stand in the way of the manufacture, distribution or sale of any gun that is limited by technology to the use of only its owner,” Weinberg said, “then I will ask the New Jersey legislature to amend the law.”

Weinberg said she was taking the position in an attempt to meet smart gun opponents “right on their own ground,” since “whatever goalposts they set for you, they move them.”

Oh the IRONY! The NRA, or the National Shooting Sports Foundation has never “Stood in the Way” of so-called smart guns, or “smart gun technology”, what the gun rights activists and shooting industry has stood in the way has been laws that MANDATE such-and-such technology be the only guns sold. Nobody has an issue with anybody developing ANY gun or technology, what they stand for is the FREEDOM to CHOOSE which gun suits them best.

It wasn’t that long ago when you think about it that gun makers were still making guns that could discharge if dropped while in a loaded condition. While some states have laws mandating all guns sold (at least new ones) are drop-safe, that is not a law in the majority of states. Still despite that there are very VERY few guns being made today that are NOT drop safe. Why? Well the technology is proven, and reliable, so people EXPECT it of their gun.

Now by New Jersey’s standards (being that ONLY the owner of the gun may be able to fire it) that is a gun I would never stand behind. I like to take new shooters to the range, and let people try out my guns. By nature MOST of the guns I’ve ever fired didn’t belong to me, and I had to learn to shoot back in my newbie days.

My daughter will always live in a house with guns. Now that she’s at an age where she doesn’t understand what is safe and what is dangerous we keep our bathrooms shuttered, and cabinets in her reach with dangerous items such as cleaning chemicals or breakable stuff, or sharp objects all have child locks. The same goes for the guns. If a gun is not on my person it’s locked up. This is NOT because of how the laws read, but because it is the best idea.

Still when she’s old enough to safely learn how to handle firearms she will learn them. This also isn’t about guns, she’ll learn how to use the stove, how to safely handle a knife, and how to properly operate a fire extinguisher.

You can’t learn to drive a car without getting behind the wheel any more than you can learn how to safely operate a gun without getting behind the trigger. So yeah New Jersey’s idea of a “Smart Gun” is pretty stupid if you ask me.

Just the same as their reasons for not repealing a stupid law. Then again I don’t think their reasons for these laws is particularly honest to start with.

Here’s an interesting image:

Baldr Gun Sales

Now first let’s look over the anti-gun blackface. First you have the “NRA Member” who is a craggy old white man in hunting garb and a hunting rifle. Yep the 2nd Amendment is all about ducks and deer. Second we have the “Gun Makers” who are depicted as a skeleton in a suit. Weather it is just a skeleton, or a modern iteration of the Angel of Death, they are implying that those who make guns are ONLY concerned with death.

Still the big irony comes in Jason’s quote: “Without Obama as a boogeyman, what will the NRA sell for fearmongering now?” Coming from an anti-gun activist who is openly seeking to take your guns and rights away from you. No need to fear-monger, there is an enemy and it isn’t just President Obama, or the Democrats in the legislature.

Just look at his last post talking about the mid-term election:

Washington passed I-594 which will expand background checks in Washington State on nearly all gun sales. Washington voters overwhelmingly voted for Initiative 594. At the same time, voters resoundingly rejected I-591, an NRA driven measure designed to weaken Washington state laws.

Yep, he’s HAPPY I-594 passed, a law that would make it a crime to show a friend your gun. A law that would make it a crime to teach new shooters how to safely handle firearms. A Law that creates a back-door registry to make door-to-door confiscation more easy!

Gee, what do we have to be concerned about?

Oh, and that whole “Gun Sales Down”, is supposed to be interpreted as something we should be concerned about? Sorry, Jason, but guns are durable goods. I still own the very first gun I owned. I own guns that are over 100 years old. I own guns carried by relatives who are long in the ground. Gun sales are dropping people people rushed out to get guns…and then they got them. You don’t need to buy a gun every month to be a 2nd Amendment Supporter. You don’t need to have 100 guns to be a Second Amendment Supporter.

Some people just have one gun. Some have three. Some have dozens. None of them want them taken away, which is EXACTLY what you want.

“Gun Death” Flood

Only “Gun Death” Counts!

The body of a 100-year-old suburban Detroit woman was found in her flooded condominium basement Tuesday, a day after heavy rain swamped much of the area and stranded motorists on water-clogged streets and freeways.

The woman’s daughter was concerned about her welfare and went to the home to check on her, said Warren Mayor James Fouts.

Not a “Gun Death”, but maybe because it was a flood it could be blamed on “Global Warming” because sometimes other political hobby horses can be blamed!

Images of the Antis: Short Sighted

Ever got a chance to call a self-described proponent of “Common Sense Gun Control” a “Gun Banner” or “Gun Grabber”? If it’s a run-of-the-mill anti-gunner they might agree, but if they’re one of those that are steeped in top-down anti-rights talking points their reaction will be mock indignation.

Just look at the monikers they choose for themselves. “Common sense Gun Control”, “Gun Safety Advocate”, “Gun Reformer”. What’s their agenda? Well banning guns, of course! Just don’t call them a “Gun Grabber” because NOBODY is going to take your guns away!

Now this:

Uh huh! “Massacre Prevention”. Have you heard about that mass shooting at the NRA Annual meeting? How about at your local gun show?

Have you noticed that the massacres that happen are almost always in places with heavy gun control?

Oh and what is the agenda to “Prevent” massacres? Why simple, make the REST of the country like the location the killer CHOSE to go on a shooting spree!

Makes PERFECT sense! Same vein as the idiom I joke about: “If guns were as illegal as murder, then nobody would be murdered with guns!”

“Common Sense”

“Gun Death” Selfie

Selfies should be banned!

A Polish couple has fallen to their death in Portugal while trying to take a selfie near a cliff, according to local media reports.

The bodies of the couple – who were not identified – have been recovered after initial attempts to rescue them on Saturday were hampered by rough conditions in the waters off Cabo da Raca, Polish Radio reports.

Not a “Gun Death”

Images of the Antis: Blood Dancing

This one always makes me angry:

Meleanie Hain was a Rosa Parks of sorts. She wanted to protect her family, and the media and anti-gun lobbyists HATED that. She never wanted to be an activist, but that’s what she became.

She wasn’t some Lobbyist getting a six-figure salary, she wasn’t a celebrity, she wasn’t an right-wing zealot. She was just a Mom with a gun. They HATED that, and they HATED her.

When she was murdered they had a VERY hard time hiding their glee, and because she was SHOT it was a “Gun Death” so there they could continue with their narrative that NOBODY should own guns, and if you own a gun for personal protection you’re just going to get shot yourself.

Sometimes poorly understood use of the bible quote “Those who use the sword will die by the sword.”, of course in this verse Jesus was being arrested by the Romans, and knowing it was a lawful arrest (I can let the true theologists here go more into Jesus fulfilling his destiny to die for the sins of man), Jesus welcomed them. Matthew Simon Peter of course didn’t like what was happening so he drew his sword to defend Jesus. In modern equivalence this is drawing your gun against the police who are arresting a friend for a crime he knowingly committed. How just you feel the law may or may-not be, this is a crime, and generally a good way to get yourself arrested or killed, so Jesus asked Matthew to sheath his sword and let the arrest happen.

Sorry antis who don’t have any respect for the bible, but there are lots of career soldiers who have lived by the rifle who died peacefully in their beds, as well a police officers, firearms instructors, and just the run-of-the mill gun collector.

Of course what ISN’T spoken about is that her husband was a parole officer. As in those people who get exemptions under every law.

Of course what is more heartbreaking was that what had lead up to this. As for hard information, I have no idea what her home life was like, but I highly doubt that he just killed his wife and himself on a whim. All we know is they were having “Martial problems”, and that’s information from friends who probably never got the full story.

The message is NOT “Never Own a Gun”, because a gun didn’t kill Meleanie, an abusive husband did. He could have easily beat her to death or slit her throat or poisoned her morning coffee, and the end results would have been the same.

The moral is if you are in an abusive relationship GET OUT NOW! If you are staying in a bad relationship because of your kids, think of the kids in this story who are now orphans in the worst possible way.

And if you are one of the anti-gunners who wants to slap a trite slogan on this so you can push your bullshit agenda, go to hell.

“Gun Death” Mass Stabbing

Many of the “Gun Death?” File stories are older. I do one a day, and those who submit stories are doing a great job. The downside is often stories are considerably old by the time I get them lined up for the daily “Gun Death”.

The fact that I didn’t hear about this story really shows the fixation of “Gun Death” the antis and the media (but I repeat myself) have.

46-year-old man is in custody Tuesday after allegedly stabbing four people to death in Goleta.

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office said they began investigating a quadruple homicide about 11 p.m. Monday at a home in the 600 block of Walnut Park Lane.

FOUR PEOPLE DEAD, and I never heard about it! Why? Because he used a knife! A student even makes a THREAT to shoot people in a school, it’s a national news story, but a man kills his entire family in California, it’s just a local incident.

Only “Gun Death” counts, because the antis haven’t felt the need to ban knives yet. Such a story would be national news in much of Europe, because guns are heavily restricted that the anti-freedom jerks there are fixated on banning knives.

Again this is NOT about public safety, but making political hay with useful deaths!
