Brady’s Appeal to Their Base

Which is obviously children. Maybe Joan is right. A Majority of Americans ARE for Stricter Gun control, and that group hasn’t even entered puberty yet! To be fair at last year’s NRA National Meeting I saw more children than ever before. Maybe THOSE are the NRA Members that want to ban guns too!

I won’t even bother to refute the video, its pretty horrible, and it praises the Brady Background Check which doesn’t actually work.

Keep it up Bradies, your tenuous grasp of reality is slipping!

BTW the Brady Camp is having their national meeting, and it looks a LOT different than the NRA meeting:

Brady National Meeting

The NRA needs to rent out for four days some of the largest meeting halls in the nation for their annual meeting. The Gun Grabbers (BTW Mom’s Demand Action, and CSGV probably out number Brady “Members” in the pictures I’ve seen) need to rent out a small function room for one afternoon for theirs!

“Gun Death” Boxer

One might assume if you are a champion fighter you don’t NEED a gun.

Phoenix police have made two arrests in connection with the beating death of a 17-year-old national champion boxer.

Police say Alexis Urbina was found unconscious and covered in blood in his family’s south Phoenix home in September. He died of his injures two days later.

There was no obvious sign of forced entry into the house, but Urbina’s family told police some of his boxing memorabilia was missing.

Really sad, but it shows what a “Gun Free Utopia” might look like.

Anti-Freedom, Not Anti-Gun

Man, the anti-rights activists are super creepy. Josh Horwitz of the Joyce Foundation CSGV has decided not only to defend the TSA’s blatant violation of the 4th Amendment but also blaming NRA and 2nd Amendment activists for the shooting of a TSA Agent.

Hey CSGV (I don’t think Josh actually writes these posts), yes the 4th Amendment is JUST as important as the second, and it is of little surprise to be that you have respect for neither.

Also on 2nd and 4th Amendment news a lot of bloggers have beat me to this story:

Selectman Barry Greenfield introduced an enforcement discussion Wednesday that he hopes will lead to the safeguarding of guns in town — keeping them out of the hands of children….The problem, he said, is that police do not have the authority, granted by a local ordinance, to enforce the law and inspect the safeguarding of guns at the homes of the 600 registered gun owners in town.

The selectman said he has spoken with Swampscott Police Chief Ron Madigan about this.

“We need the ability to enforce the state law,” the selectman said.

Well you DO have the ability to enforce Massachusetts’ “Safe Storage” laws, what you jerks don’t have is the right to break our 4th Amendment rights to randomly inspect homes of people who own guns. Hey but registration will stop crime and is awesome.

The potential silver lining to this cloud is that McDonald vs City of Chicago states that such a law is NOT Constitutional. But you won’t see me holding my breath, because anti-gun politicians in this state have ZERO respect for the US Constitution nor natural rights.

“Gun Death” Burned to Death

Pretty Crazy Accident:

Festival-goers can be seen on a video dancing to electronic music and cheering as a man becomes engulfed in flames during West Hollywood’s annual Halloween carnival.

Gilbert Estrada, 51, later died. The video posted on YouTube shows him lying unresponsive after the fire was extinguished. Detectives say it appears Estrada may have accidentally started the fire while trying to light a cigarette.
As Estrada flails, some bystanders can be heard cheering. Others help put out the flames. One bystander recorded the scene with a cellphone camera and posted it on the video website. …Estrada was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead Friday morning, said Lt. Cheryl MacWillie of the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.

Estrada, whose family told police that he attended the festival every year, was dressed as a sniper in camouflage, Biddle said. The costume apparently was made of burlap sacks and straw.

“It’s really thin and flammable,” Biddle said. “That stuff could ignite pretty fast.”

So it looks like poor flame safety with an unsafe Ghillie suit, and now, sadly this man is dead.

Does it make a difference that he wasn’t shot? It does to those who tout “Gun Death” as a relevant metric.

Take some Time Today

Thank a Veteran for their service.

For me I generally call and email several close friends who served in recent and not-so-recent conflicts and thank then individually. Hey guys (and gals) this year might be a bit different, as I’ll be working today, then I’ll be changing dirty pants, then I’ll be sleeping.

Of course all of that is trivial to what even the most rearward of you have been through.

And they all say otherwise because that’s what heroes say.

Thanks!

“Gun Death” Bus Hijacker

In Norway where their gun laws mean a crazy with a knife is a force to be reckoned with:

Norwegian police say a knife-wielding man hijacked a bus and killed three people on board, including the bus driver.

Police in western Norway say the suspect, described as a man in his 50s, has been arrested.

This again would be a “Mass Shooting” that would make national news, but since it was a knife attack it isn’t a “Gun Death” so it isn’t relevant!

Some Evening Gunny

I’m watching youtube videos with a fussy baby sleeping on my chest. So let’s all enjoy this Striker 12 video.

I’ve read how these guns worked in books, but never actually seen somebody run one. Wow, what a pain in the ass (and forearm). I didn’t know they sucked that hard.

Better to just get a UTS 15 and be done with it.

Bloggin’ is Hard!

Wow! I had some major plans for blog posts this weekend and none of them happened. Both gunblogging and baby-blogging. All fell flat.

Seems that keeping baby happy, and getting enough sleep so I can do my duties at work is just about a round-the-clock sort of job. Hell just doing the squirrel report took more planning than I expected. Still it was a great show, and if you didn’t catch it live, give it a listen. We interview a Texas woman who got a shotgun through the armed citizen project and will be appearing on 20/20. But like a TRUE news organization the Squirrel team broadcasted her story first!

Of course all the well-wishes I received I know you’re all supportive of the lack of content here at Weer’d World.

Thanks to all of you!

“Gun Death” Crazy

What’s more dangerous, a gun, or somebody unarmed who’s completely psychotic?

A Bothell woman pleaded guilty Thursday to second-degree murder for her mother’s beating death….Davidson called 911 in October of 2012 asking for psychiatric help. Officers found 81-year-old Lila Donaldson dying of a head wound. She had been struck with a heavy glass mug.

This is one of the big reasons why I do the “Gun Death?” Files. All this attention on guns and “Gun Death” is ignoring the real problem of dangerously violent people. Yes sometimes these psychopaths get a hold of a gun to do their horrors, but other times its nothing more than a beer mug.

Doesn’t make this woman any less dead, no matter what the “Gun Death” fanatics say.
