Light Blogging

Always harder to get out of bed after Squirrel Report, and this morning was topped by some spirited talk on the downfalls of government, revolutions, and “Useful Idiots”.

Also an interesting note on how many radicals are of an “All or Nothing” mentality…which is why they’re just as dangerous to their cause AFTER the revolution as nothing happens suddenly in politics.

So yeah, good blogging already happened, but only my wife and I heard it.

Tough luck for you guys. 🙂

“Gun Death” New Jersey

New Jersey has tough gun and knife laws to keep the people safe!

Bail is set at $1 million for a New Jersey man accused of stabbing a stranger about a dozen times as she pushed her 5-month-old baby in a stroller at a Bed Bath & Beyond.

Monmouth County prosecutors say 19-year-old Tyrik Haynes of Middletown is also accused of setting fire last month to a cat that was later found dead.

A motive for Thursday’s stabbing is under investigation. The victim remained hospitalized Saturday in critical but stable condition. Her child was not injured in the attack.

Wouldn’t it be terrible if New Jersey was one of those “backwards” “Red Neck” states where citizens could carry guns, and somebody shot this beast?

Also I’ll throw in the “Bad Justice” tag, because we know New Jersey courts are super tough on violent criminals!

Gun Free Zones Aren’t So Safe

When there are violent cannibals about!

A man attacked by a baseball bat-wielding college student has sued the school where the attack happened, saying it failed to protect the community from the suspect who was later accused of cannibalism.

Twenty-three-year-old Joshua Ceasar of Egg Harbor Township, N.J., was left partially blind after the attack on the campus of Baltimore’s Morgan State University in 2012. The assault came days before the student, Alexander Kinyua, told authorities he killed a man staying with his family and ate the man’s heart and parts of his brain.

Note the killer observed the “Gun Free Zone” signs! Wouldn’t it have been a shame if somebody had shot this beast?

Born Losers

Looks like the crappy gun laws on the federal level are being delayed.

The Senate Judiciary Committee postponed a markup for new gun control legislation for one week, delaying action on a controversial proposal to ban assault weapons.

The postponement also allows more time for bipartisan negotiations between Sens. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) to reach a deal to expand background checks for all gun purchases. Those talks have stalled over Coburn’s objections to permanent record keeping of gun purchases becoming a part of background checks.

Judiciary Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) announced at the beginning of Thursday’s session that consideration of four gun-related bills, including an assault weapons ban offered by Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), would be rescheduled for next week.

Good! The more time for debate and discussion the better. The antis want to work on a knee-jerk reaction, and like Obamacare, they want to pass the laws before anybody knows what the laws contain.

Gun Control Puts Lawful Citizens in DANGER!

A great story

BTW in this instance I would carry even if it was illegal at the time. My life is worth the risk.

A Use for those Crappy Girl With Guns Video

I hate them. Its just poor form to hand an inexperienced person a loaded gun without the obvious teaching of form and safety…still Mike at ENDO shows us that they DO have their uses!

Note that the woman at the end with the AR-15 also has really shitty form…but she doesn’t end up dropping the gun or getting hurt.

Biden is an asshole.

Inconvenient Truth

The anti-rights cult always seems to think that victims of violent crimes and law enforcement support their bans on private arms. We know this isn’t true, and is simple cherry picking of “Useful” victims and members of the Law Enforcement community.

This is one of those stories they will claim never existed.

Another Face Transplant

Found this amazing story of another full-face transplant that happened in Boston.

A Vermont woman who was terribly disfigured in an attack by her estranged husband has received a full face transplant at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, the hospital said Wednesday morning. It’s the fifth face transplant performed by Brigham surgeons.

Carmen Tarleton, now 44, was at home in Thetford with her two girls when her husband forced his way inside and attacked her in June 2007. After battering her head with a baseball bat, he squirted industrial-strength lye from a dish soap bottle onto her arms, legs, back, and face, burning over 80 percent of her body, police said at the time.

Tarleton, who was nearly blinded in the assault, had waited longer than any other Brigham patient for a face transplant. She had been on the waiting list for 14 months.

During a press conference at the hospital, doctors said Tarleton is recovering well from her surgery, which occurred this month. The hospital does not disclose the date of transplants to protect the identity of donors, who usually are anonymous.

“She is in great spirits,’’ said lead surgeon Dr. Bohdan Pomahac. “She’s one of the most inspirational people I have ever met.’’

He said that Tarleton is the hospital’s most complex face transplant patient so far, but that she was eager for the surgery because she suffered such extreme disfigurement and pain. Tarleton did not attend the press conference, but members of her family did. Her sister, Kesstan Blandin, read a statement from her.

I’m really impressed at how good the spirits are of the woman, as the interview given was pre-op. I’ve been following the face transplants that have been going on her in Boston since the first one, and I’ve been AMAZED at how GOOD they look. You always assume with a radical new procedure its going to be a bit primitive at first, but that really hasn’t been the case, the patient looks damn near normal as soon as the first stage heals, and they have the cosmetic side of it to look forward to where they will get so much closer to how they looked before they were injured.

Also because its my blog, I’ll note that industrial lye isn’t a gun.

Enemy of the System

They’re really getting desperate! Turns out Thirdpower is such a danger to society that Josh Horwitz decided to name him by name in his worthless senate testimony.

Funny that the people looking to restrict and confiscate civilian arms in direct violation to the spirit and letter of the 2nd Amendment of the US Constitution are so concerned about so-called “insurrectionists”.

I really hope this political movement doesn’t end in a 2nd Civil war because that’s just a horrible thing that nobody wants….but the anti-rights movement stands to lose a LOT more if it ever happens.
