“Gun Death” Low-Capacity Axe

Axes are used just for murder! We need axes with “Sporting Purpose!”

Two 13-year-old Wisconsin boys are charged with using a hatchet and hammer to kill one boy’s great-grandmother while stealing jewelry and a car from her home.

Yeah we REALLY need to be focusing on “Gun Death”! Hatchets and hammers aren’t going anywhere, which makes the idea of disarming the lawful even more stupid!

Morning Junk Science

This meme simply won’t die!

Innocente Marcolini, 60, an Italian businessman, fell ill after using a handset at work for up to six hours every day for 12 years.

Now Italy’s Supreme Court in Rome has blamed his phone saying there is a “causal link” between his illness and phone use, the Sun has reported.

Mr Marcolini said: “This is significant for very many people. I wanted this problem to become public because many people still do not know the risks.

One guy gets a tumor in a certain location, and JUDGES call it a “Causal Link”. Man, people WANT this to be true SO BAD!

Again, note that cell-phones are TWO-WAVE radios! Yeah your phone is transmitting, but its also RECEIVING a stronger signal back from the towers. So more than just your ear is getting blasted by the same waves.

Hey but why let science get in the way with some good fear mongering and regulation!

Oh and you know what else people want to be true? “Climate Change”!!!!

Monday’s mammoth storm that caused severe flooding, damage and fatalities to the eastern U.S. will raise pressure on Congress and the next president to address the impacts of climate change as the price tag for extreme weather disasters escalates.

Was this storm anything spectacular, or was its storm track what caused all the damage? I mean Southern states take this crap EVERY year, just most hurricanes hit the Carolinas or south.

Hey but probability can be science too…or something!

“Gun Death” More Machetes

I was at a sporting goods store the other day and I saw a really nice Machete made by Gerber on the knife rack. I was surprised to see they were asking for under $30 for what accounts for a well-made knife. The cheap crap you can find next to the yard rakes and axes in the big box store can easily be paid for with pocket change!

When will we have common sense “Machete Control”?

A man who police say tried to cut several people with a machete at a Galveston birthday party this week has been charged in the case, police said.

It isn’t the tool its the person. And we NEED guns because the other guy WILL get a Machete if he wants one!

Fun Story

So my neighbor and I were walking back from the train after work. We saw a new Ford Interceptor rolling down the street. It pulled up to us and it was my other neighbor on duty with local PD.

Got his opinion of the new Taurus Based cruiser (He liked it. Also our Police are evidently too cheap to get the twin turbo version, but he says its plenty fast with the naturally aspirated engine), and I asked him, since I’m up for Renewal how long the permit wait was for my LTC.

He didn’t know the wait time, but DID know that all the Police Departments in the state have been inundated with permits. He added that that was awesome.

Yet another beat cop perfectly happy with people packing!

As Opposed To…

Smartphones can read boarding passes:

A vulnerability in US domestic airline boarding pass barcodes could allow travellers to bring unauthorised items on board, says a security expert.

The codes reveal what kind of airport checks a passenger will face and can be read by smartphones, he says.

It could undermine the US’s PreCheck system which randomly decides which frequent fliers can skip part of the pre-boarding security process.

The barcodes could allow passengers to work out if they had been picked.

Implying that Airport security is worth a God-Damn at finding threats.

An Email Forward Brought to Life

This time of year I get about a dozen email forwards with this premise.

My only complaint is that it doesn’t show how Crowder actually compensated the kids for participating in a Marxist Social Experiment. I’m hoping full-size butterfingers for all!
