Super Pretty

Looks like Oleg has some pictures up of some Dragon Leatherworks Holsters

Also turns out this photo is the back cover of the latest issue of Concealed Carry Magazine.

Good work, Dennis! You deserve it for your great work at making holsters!

More of Us Winning

I’m listening to last week’s Larry Miller Podcast, of which I’m a huge fan. He got to talking about an outing he took on one of his movies where he mentions a “Professional cowboy” from Texas (no name given, so I don’t know exactly what that means) and Larry mentions how much fun he had out in the Desert shooting guns, and his allure and amusement of firearms, despite not owning any.

Note that Larry grew up in New York City, went to College in Massachusetts, and now lives in LA, and he’s an actor and comedian.

That’s the resume of a die-hard anti, but yet he can’t find anything bad to say about guns.

Remember, ignorance is the fuel of the antis, take a newbie to the range!

Blogroll of the Antis

Got a spare moment, and I was musing over a comment by 45er

No kidding. This is the first real time I’ve spent on one of those and the blog roll is pathetic. Also, the frequency of their posts is atrocious.

Now go look over at my right sidebar with my RSS Blogroll. Note those are not ALL the blogs I read. I didn’t put Say Uncle in there because of how he posts it would quickly flood out most of the other bloggers, and I think I’m justified that everybody knows about Chance and his awesome blog and they either read him or they don’t.

A few other bloggers, for reasons unknown don’t have RSS feeds that play well with my software, so you have to check them manually. But overall they are bloggers who blog about individual liberty and about gun rights and gun ownership, and the shooting sports. There are ten slots and they’re updated every time the page refreshes. Depending on how people post it flips over 4-5x per day, maybe more, I don’t know how to gather stats on that. All I know is it isn’t often when there isn’t a new post at the top of that list.

Now 45er was talking about Baldr Odinson, a worker for one of the many ephemeral Joyce Foundation AstroTurf groups. Now first note that Baldr posts MAYBE once a week (I ascribe to the “Post at least once a day” rule of blogging. Thanks to the daily syndication of the “Gun Death?” Files, it generally runs about 2-4 per day, if you include many of my silly interludes), but he also has the blogger equivalent of my RSS blogroll. I thought I’d just run down it just to expand on 45er’s observation. Below will have the blog’s title, and the time period of the post as of my typing. I’ll keep links out, as well as post titles because I’m not here to rebroadcast their propiganda.:

Mikeb302000: 3 hours ago. Mikey the troll is probably the best content generator, I believe for taking a page out of his compatriot Robert Farago’s playbook by taking on as many authors who are willing to ruin their reputation. By my count he has 4 Authors, one the most disgusting Jadegold, as well as some other repugnant anti-freedom types. So yeah 4 authors he better keep up with most of the single-handed blogs out there.

Ohh Shoot: 1 day ago. I’m not sure who “Ohh Shoot” is, but s/he is a Joyce foundation aggregater.

Common Gunsense: 2 days ago: We known Joan, professional victim, as well as somebody who holds multiple positions with the Brady Campaign and the Joyce foundation

Brady Campaign Blog : 2 days ago: We also know the Brady Campaign. Also they have a ton of bloggers on staff, but they have a rough time generating content.

A Law Abiding Citizen?: 1 week ago: Ohh Shoot again. So more Joyce blogging, also this one has a comment section, and Bob drops some good questions that “Ohh Shoot” feels no interest in answering. Their beliefs aren’t worth defending…that says a lot!

Guns Are Soooo Great!: 1 week ago: And Anti-rights nut from Alaska. No affiliations with either the Joyce Foundation, or Brady Campaign, also no deep thoughts

Ordinary People: 3 weeks ago: A CSGV Post, that doesn’t appear to be a blog

Bullet Counter Points: 1 Month Ago: Same as above. No idea why these are considered separate blogs, or blogs at all.

National Gun Victims Action Council blog: 2 months ago: Not sure who this group is. A quick google search shows me some tentative ties to the Joyce Foundation, maybe somebody can enlighten me.

Gun Guys: 5 months ago: Go click that link. “Gun Guys” was the premier AstroTurf Joyce Foundation blog. They didn’t blog much, but when the Joyce checks dried up they really didn’t do much more blogging. Now as you can see with the link the page has been dark for several months. May they have several more. All posts listed on the blogroll also show a blank page, Baldr either doesn’t know this, or doesn’t know how to take the blog down from his roll. There are several other “Progressive” blogs that still have this dead link flying. Oh how they cling to the past!

Mondays With Mike: 8 months ago: Yet another CSGV blog post somehow listed as a separate blog.

Abusing the Privilege: Crimes Committed by CCW’s: 1 year ago: there is no author information, also not a single citation in this news aggregate. It is a Joyce Foundation hobby-horse, and it has as many ethics and bias as one could expect. But I can only speculate who this blogger is…or was given that the blog has been dark for over a year.

New England Coalition to Prevent Gun Violence: 1 year ago: Another Joyce Foundation AstroTurf group.

So that’s it. That’s all. The whole blogroll, and the last entry is almost a year-and-a-half old. Almost all of them have direct ties with the Brady Campaign and the Joyce Foundation (So technically its only 4 Separate Entities if you count the two unaffiliated bloggers as entities). Several of the entities are the widely spaced CSGV blog entities listed as separate “Blogs” for reasons I can’t determine.

So as I’ve said before there is no grass-roots support for gun control, most work for the Brady Campaign or the Joyce Foundation, and given some of the shady characters that work for those groups that isn’t a mark of pride, and there is zero content out there.

Meanwhile just look at the Gun Blog Black List, there are some defunct blogs and redundant links in there, but overall its VOLUMES of fresh content and discussion about Gun Rights and Freedom. Furthermore most of them have open comment sections where we can debate and discuss the issues (ALL of the Anti-Rights blogs either don’t allow comments, or heavily moderate them, and there is NO discussion ever…I don’t blame them, they can only lose if they debate).

You can easily read ALL the anti-rights blogs inside of an hour, and keep up with new content by adding 10-15 mins every week, tops if you’re a slow reader. Meanwhile Gun Blogs you simply have to play favorites, because there is too much for any one person.

Can you see from here who’s on the wrong side of the issues? Yeahhhh

Not Feelin’ it

Blah. Not feeling the bloggity, plus the “Gun Death?” files are empty (but my email box is full, so thanks all who contributed!)

So most of the blog work will be behind the scenes today.

Still I thought I’d share this thing from Mas Ayoob I found via Two is One, One is None

I’ll Just quote the 10 commandments, go over there to read Mas’ writeup of them.

1: If you carry, always carry.
2. Don’t carry if you are not prepared to use it.
3. Don’t’ let the gun make you reckless.
4. Get the license.
5. Know what you are doing.
6. Concealed means concealed.
7. Maximize your firearms familiarity.
8. Understand the fine points.
9. Carry an adequate firearm.
10. Use common sense.

Go read the whole thing, and I must say, I 100% agree with Mas’ take on it.

Be Safe out there, and carry your damn gun!

“Gun Death” Heated Argument

Guns should be banned because they make killing too easy! An argument could get heated, introduce a gun into that and it could turn deadly!

Homicide detectives were at the scene of a fatal stabbing on Buffalo’s west side Thursday night on Vermont Street.

Hours after the incident, police and fire crews were still on scene, gathering evidence and cleaning up. Police were originally called to a fight on Vermont around 8 p.m., and the fight apparently quickly escalated into a stabbing. When they arrived, they found a teen lying on the sidewalk with multiple stab wounds.

Thankfully no “Gun Death” here!

How We Win

Take somebody on their first range trip!

I remember my first trip to the range. I don’t think I was as apprehensive as this guy (then again I was 19, and simply assumed I was invincible) but unlike this guy I had ZERO love for guns, or gun rights at the time.

Now watch how he looks at the end. The results were the same with me. For something that I initially tried just because it was offered and I thought “what the heck”, I went from hating gun rights and wanting to ban guns, to hating gun rights and wanting to ban guns….but not M1911 pistols because I wanted to buy one of those….

Not a huge step, but a first step. It opened my eyes to guns, shooting sports, and safety. It also got me reading about gun rights and issues.

Those who push gun control are open liars truth doesn’t support their agenda, so they rely on ignorance, or religious fanaticism to gain support. (Note they are NOT gaining support, but losing it by the fist full), as soon as a person’s eyes are open, the sooner they can see the lies for what they are.

Yep, this is how we win. Oh also this guy was VERY green and nervous about shooting, and with all new shooters his grip, stance, and likely sight alignment was VERY inconsistent, and its easy to see (especially with that S&W SD, which is kinda a lousy gun to start somebody with, given its horrible trigger) where his grip is different with EVERY shot fired. Yet he still maintained what I would consider acceptable accuracy at above-average self-defense distances.

This is the value of a gun for self defense. Can you imagine how much he’d improve after a few more range sessions, or a training class?

H/t T-Bolt

Tom Waits Vs. Muppets

This isn’t the first time I’ve heard this, I’ve heard people say that Tom Waits sounds like a Muppet, or a fraggle, or other such “cartoony” things.

Waldo sent me this video, and I’m deeply amused. Also love the song.

Enjoy!

Remember: Anti-Freedom, not Anti-gun

I’ve talked about it before, people who ban guns focus on guns because they see them as a target of opportunity, but as soon as they feel they’ve made significant inroads in banning guns they will move on to banning other things. This HAS happened in the UK, and of course extends outside of things that can be used as weapons, see trans fats, salts, and happy meal toys.

I present exhibit A

Two [Boston] city councilors will propose an ordinance today that would require businesses in Boston to be licensed before they can sell knives, which officials said minors can easily buy at retailers across the city…Under city rules, knives with a blade 2 inches or longer cannot be sold to anyone under 18. But a Boston police sting operation this past week found stores violating that rule, Ross said….“Guns are heavily regulated; knives – there’s virtually no regulation,’’ he said.

I don’t think there are many “Fudd” type gun owners left, and certainly most of the “I’m a gun owner, but…” types are either not gun owners, or are working directly for the gun banners.

Still if any of you guys are out there, remember these anti-freedom creeps will not retire after they get the bans they seek, they will seek to ban ANYTHING else they don’t like or personally own. That includes your duck and deer guns, and it includes your pocket knife, or your french fries.

Guns are just ONE freedom they don’t like.

Sad Troll Is Sad!

LOL I’m getting a wicked Kick out of noted Troll and Joyce Stooge Baldr Odinson (And really dude, got no issue with the name, just curious if its a given name, an assumed name, or a Nom-de-Plume. Just to be fair “Weird Beard” was a college nickname from a group of friends who noted I had a strange sense of humor…and a beard. I thought a unique spelling made it more interesting…later when I took the name online as a screen name it really helps with Google searches et al, so it was a good idea) getting all passive-aggressive, and openly lying.

What’s typical of antis and “Progressives” in general is they call somebody a “Bully” for taking them to the woodshed, and they burn a lot of calories doing it, but don’t actually spend any time REFUTING any of the so-called bullying. Sorry calling somebody a “Liar” and then showing evidence of the truth isn’t bullying, its calling a spade a spade. But “Progressives” think that just by repeating something enough times it becomes truth.

He does make a minor attempt to refute my argument that the Joyce “Ask Campaign” is more than a little myopic, and that he tactics in pro-gun sites is trolling. Of course unlike some bloggers, he is nice enough to link his sources that openly expose his lies. Money Quote:

When I finally got around to his site a couple days later, he had posted about me, making fun of my name, suggesting I was fat, belittling my family’s training in kung fu (which I had commented on at another site), and labeled me a “troll” because I hadn’t gotten back to him, then saying he’d barred me from commenting (even though he’s the one who’s trolling around at all hours). Well, all I can say is that there’s a name for someone who tries to intimidate people, calls them names, makes fun of their names and weight, and makes arrogant and belittling remarks: BULLY.

But he links my post where I point out that I waited for him to actually respond to my email, and posted his response. Furthermore gave several examples of other blogs where he trolled.

Also gotta love a fat guy who’s pissed that I pointed out that his weight and fitness was going to be a real problem when he broke-out the kung-fu. And its not that great an option when fit people do it, especially if their attacker is armed with something as meager as a knife. I should know I’ve got about 30lbs I could stand to lose (I’ll be happy with 20) and I’m hardly in fantastic shape. But that isn’t how he framed it, but he sure did link me so all who want can see. Of course who’s more blind than those who refuse to see?

Also I’m deeply amused that Baldr, who works for Ceasefire OREGON seems to be unaware that its not the same time in Massachusetts as it is on the West coast.

OK so I’m really just having fun with this guy and his stupidity (again not calling names, what else do you call somebody who cites something that directly refutes them? Maybe “Delusional”, but I thought I’d be fair), which reminds me of the days when I used to toy with trolls. But this doesn’t violate my rules. This “Baldr Odinson” is a Joyce Representative, and an active member in a Joyce AstroTurf group.

…And he seems baffled by time zones. This is the best the Joyce Foundation can scrape up these days.

Oh and lastly those racist Negro=Monkey jokes? I leave those for the “Progressives” in Europe.

Thanks for the laugh Baldr, and post pictures of your next arts-and-crafts poster-board!
