A Great View of the Other Side

Bitter and Sebastian went and tracked down the Anti-Gun Protest at the NRA Con, and they shot this great video:

Its worth a watch. What’s most interesting is how misinformed the opposition is (and some have pointed out they likely have no interest in learning exactly where they are right and where they are wrong). Also amusing is the hatred of people who want to carry arms for their own protection, with added irony of of the gentleman who says he wouldn’t talk to somebody who was armed…while he’s talking to somebody who’s armed. Also as standard issue, there is no difference or consideration between somebody who’s legally armed, vs somebody who is illegally armed. I’ll note the only people in favor of violent criminals being armed are the criminals themselves. Just on our side we make a distinction between “Good Guys” and “Bad Guys” being armed, and they simply define the lines as “Armed” and “Unarmed”.

Also you can hear in several clips the bleating of “We Wanna Talk!” which I’ve mentioned several times before.

Thanks to Sebastian, and especially Bitter for doing such a great job at shooting this video, and being respectful to the opposition. I can’t say I could have talked to any of these people without challenging their beliefs, and while there are lots of levels of anti-gun people, those who would march and chant tend to be the anti-rights cultists who do NOT want their beliefs challenged, and when that happens things get ugly fast.

Well done!

Watch it, these are who we’re up against.

“Gun Death” Habitual

I’m just going to let the story do the talking on this one.

A 27-year-old Placentia man was arrested Tuesday in connection with the death of community activist Mara Steves, who was killed Feb. 13 while trying to rescue a dog that had been running in traffic….Hall, who had two prior convictions for driving under the influence, has been charged with murder in the drug-induced crash, the Orange County District Attorney’s office said.

Habitual and willful drunk driving, and now a woman is dead. Of course anti-rights people drive cars regularly, so “Car Death” isn’t a relevant metric, nor can Car ownership be compared to gun ownership. Unless they’re talking about universal registration….but even then rebuttals aren’t allowed.

You see guns are different because they are different!

At least we have this:

He was also charged with one felony count of driving under the influence causing bodily injury, and is being held on $1-million bail. If convicted, Hall faces a maximum 21 years to life in state prison.

He’d best get life, otherwise he’ll do this again!

Who Wants to Talk About Weiners?

OK this is so funny! Anthony Weiner is a guy who has always been on my radar. He’s super-far left, he’s obnoxious, and generally a sleazy guy. Also I love how appropriate that this milquetoast limosine-liberal/troll is named “Weiner”. Let’s start with the hilarious press conference:

So somebody “Played a prank” which involved sending a picture of some under-breeches smothered in tube-steak to a young woman. Now given that he’s a US Representative and a public figure, and a married man, that’s some pretty defamatory stuff right there…but Rep Wiener hasn’t called the cops. Why not? Because getting arrested by the cops is EXACTLY what the prankster wants!!11!! Also note that he refuses to answer if he did send a photo, or if that IS his cock in the picture. He just keeps repeating the same thin story over and over again, because rehearsed repetition TOTALLY sounds believable, doesn’t it?

Now this interview has occurred:

OK now his personal computer was hacked, which is a bad crime for you or I, for a US Representative with security clearance et al, that’s a VERY serious crime. Why didn’t he call the cops? Well he considers this “Spam”.

Lemme break that down. Somebody sending me an email or a comment on this blog for pills to enlarge my dick, or an ad for a spinning class, that’s spam. If somebody hacks my blog, uploads a picture of an erect penis, and send it to young women who are NOT my wife? That’s the furthest damn thing from spam.

Also note that he mentions that pictures can be manipulated, and he’s got a private team working on it, but he refuses to say if its his hog or his breeches or not, or if he indeed sent it, rather than Crash Override.

I think we can all see what’s happening but Confederate Yankee mentions that the neo-socialists are blaming Andrew Breitbart for all of this. I checked a few usual suspects, and the standard procedure of ignoring a Democrat doing anything bad is done. Still I did find this heap of crazy. (Make sure to read the comments)

BTW have you noticed when a Republican gets caught doing something retarded like this you always hears about “hypocrisy”, but you never hear that with a Donk. Its not like Bill Clinton was public about being in an open marriage, its not like Anthony Wiener has a “Pro Show Your Hog to college Chix” platform for his re-election.

BTW if you haven’t seen said hog-shot its right here. If you want to compare me to Anthony Wiener, my Hog is right here!

Hairy Weather

Tornadoes are going thorough the western parts of Mass. Found some footage online already!

Be safe out there!

I saw a funnel cloud touch down in Lake Champlain, that was pretty small but it did a good bit of damage, and I’ve seen damage from Microbursts But nothing like this in this part of the world in my lifetime!

Good Deal

I have a Dyson Animal DC25 and I totally love it. Dyson vacuums are a bit spendy, but well worth it in my opinion.

I noticed Woot has Dyson DC28s for sale for $300. Haven’t used this model, but I know that others have found quality across the Dyson board, and for $300 I can’t imagine how you’d go wrong.

Another Data Point

Many of you met Dennis and saw his hostlers at the NRA Convention Dennis happened to also be driving down with Jay and I from the Northeast. On the drive down Dennis was talking about how he had just ordered a Kimber SIS Pro (which is Kimber-speak for their 4″ 1911, kinda like a Colt Commander, but not quite).

Nice looking gun, I’m not a huge fan of the slide serrations, but with anything radical like that there will be people who love it, and people who hate it.

Dennis was excited, and I mentioned that I had heard from a few people who know a thing-or-two about 1911s had found about them. That being said you’ll see in the comments and the forum threads there are lots of people who say their modern Kimbers run great, and Dennis had already dropped his money on the gun, so I wished him the best and decided to not be a Debbie downer.

Well sadly Dennis’ gun is yet another Kimber Lemon. Go read the whole thing. Thankfully it appears the gun can be fixed to a running condition. Still for a gun at that price point, and given that his Desert Eagle 1911 cost half as much, and runs like a champ (also I got to handle his 1911 at the convention and its a really tight gun with a superb trigger), no repair should be needed at all. As Dennis Says: “My first…and LAST Kimber”.

Jay also covered this post and dropped this money quote:

The problems he’s been having with the Kimber are minor and annoying but not critical; however this is exactly the kind of thing that lends credence to the “1911s are finicky and you can’t rely on them”.

I would add that and the 100% GI pattern 1911s that were never designed to run or feed on ANYTHING but GI-issue 230gr Hard-ball ammo. I’ll note that the first 1911 gunsmiths found ways to safely modify the platform to feed and run on just about any ammo available, and modern 1911 makers have incorporated these modifications into their off-the-shelf design.

Jay also mentions that his S&W 1911 ran like a champ at less price. I’ll add that mine also run flawlessly, and I trust my life with them.

On an upside you can now get holsters made for 4″ 1911 from Dragon Leatherworks.

I can’t say “All Kimbers suck and they won’t run”, because some do. What I will say is lots of Kimbers don’t run out of the box, and may need repairs or replacement parts, and do encountered severe problems after high round counts. At the price that Kimber charges for their guns you could do a lot better. That being said, for the time being Dennis’ Kimber seems to be running with some fairly easy modifications and parts swaps, so if you see a solid used model, and the price looks right even with a few hundred in gunsmith work, that might be a good idea.

But overall Colt, Springfield Armory, or S&W are very solid choices at a better price point.

“Gun Death” Hit-and-Run

Those who use the metric of “Gun Death” also use cars in their day-to-day lives. Therefore cars can’t be compared to guns. The Gun is Different because the gun is different!

Police believe the boy’s uncle, Rodolfo Pichardo, 21, who lived at the same house, backed an SUV out of the driveway, ran over the child, then stopped for a short time. The man then got back into the SUV along with a second uncle, Rodrigo Pichardo, 24, who also lives at the Hinman Street home, and the pair drove away.

Wow, takes a stone-cold asshole to drive away from your own flesh and blood run down from their own negligence. And would it have been worse if the kid had been shot because of his uncle’s negligent gun handling?

yeah.

Range Day

Lovely day, and today our gests want to hit the gun range. I don’t blame them!

Guns are fun, and new shooters are a lot of fun.

This is why we’re winning!

“Gun Death” Another Stabbing

We all know that once guns are banned the people who use the made-up metric of “Gun Death” will start using “Knife Death”.

Lynchburg, VA – Lynchburg police arrested and charged 25-year-old Lakita Lashea Miller with voluntary manslaughter after they discovered a man stabbed at an apartment on Old Forest Road, a police news release states.

And can you imagine how much of a pain in the ass it would be if you had to jump through all the hoops to buy a knife that you need to to buy a gun. And of course look at what that’s done for “Gun Crime”.

Don’t cede an inch, these are not just the enemy of guns, they are the enemy of all freedom!
