Heard in the Weer’d House

Had this song on the radio while I cleaned dishes and Mrs. Weer’d looked after Little Miss:

Me: How Kickass is this song?

Mrs. Weer’d to the Baby: Don’t listen to him…Dubstep is crap!

It doesn’t just happen to Tam! We get no respect, I tell ya!

George Zimmerman or Emmanuel Goldstein?

George Zimmerman again in the news:

Former neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman was arrested Monday in Florida after deputies responded to a disturbance call at a house, authorities said.

Zimmerman will be transported and booked into jail, a Seminole County Sheriff’s Office statement said. Authorities provided few other details, and it was not immediately known what charges he faced. Messages for comment left by The Associated Press with the sheriff’s office were not immediately returned.

That’s it. We’ll see what happens from here. Still the reporter must let us all know where the “Facts” lie:

Zimmerman and his estranged wife were involved in a domestic dispute in September just days after Shellie Zimmerman filed divorce papers, but police later said no charges were filed against either of them because of a lack of evidence.

Zimmerman has also been pulled over three times for traffic stops since his acquittal. He was ticketed for doing 60 mph in a 45 mph zone in Lake Mary in September and was given a warning by a state trooper along Interstate 95 for having a tag cover and windows that were too darkly tinted. He was also stopped near Dallas in July and was given a warning for speeding.

In 2005, Zimmerman had to take anger management courses after he was accused of attacking an undercover officer who was trying to arrest Zimmerman’s friend. In another incident, a girlfriend accused him of attacking her.

Oh what a criminal brute! OFF WITH HIS HEAD!!!!

Be interesting to see what the charges are. So far “Trumped up” is the only kind George has ever seen, but that means nothing going forward.

Another Must-Read

Man, I will NEVER get to the bottom of my Kindle! Every book I read two or three more pop up on the book.

I’m currently reading “On Combat” By Lt. Col Dave Grossman which is good, but so far I enjoyed “On Killing” much more

Still I just listened to Penn’s Sunday School interview with Jonathan Rauch on his new book (which I just bought) “Kindly Inquisitors: The New Attacks on Free Thought”

I can’t wait until I read it, but from his interview it sounds like the core of his argument is that we NEED hate-speech for the targets of said speech to win politically.

I won’t lie, I’m pleased to hear that, as I spend a lot of time reading blogs of people who hate my ideology, and in many cases me personally. I re-publish their words (with my rebuttals of course), and dig through their pintrest accounts and publish their horrible cartoons and graphics.

Of course it does me nothing but good that they hate me, and my compatriots so much. They HATE us, and there is NOTHING horrible they DON’T wish upon us. They HATE us, and we have guns, and yet we’re both still alive.

I’m alive because they know if they attempt to throw me in a box car, I’ll take a LOT more of them with me than they can take of me.

They’re alive because I have little interest in shooting people that I can’t destroy in the voting booth, or through peaceful lobbying.

Quote of the Day: Joan Peterson

Too good to pass up!

Yes, for sure, Jim Crow laws were a terrible way to disenfranchise people of color. Attempts today to limit people of color, young people and others from voting are alive and well in the form of Voter ID laws all over the country. Thankfully we turned back that attempt in Minnesota. And the rest of your comment is unsubstantiated. I hope you don’t go around telling others that what you wrote is true.

Yep, a $20 ID to prove that you are not illegally voting is horrible and racist (and might hurt “Progressives” in the polls who are deeply supported by felons and illegal Aliens who have no right to vote) but a $100+ Permit that requires certified classroom training to exercise an enumerated right is good for society!

Not-to-mention that voting isn’t a right at all. But I suspect Joan reads my blog more than she reads the US Constitution, and takes both with equal grains of salt.

“Gun Death” Vacuum Cleaner

WOW!

A US man allegedly used a vacuum cleaner to beat his girlfriend to death after she refused to have sex with him.

And all those anti-gun people think the solution to domestic violence is to ban guns. I’m sure the family of this poor woman would agree…

Of Course He Does

Criminal Administration:

Attorney General Eric Holder wants to appeal a recent judge’s ruling that allows the House to continue with its contempt case, related to Holder’s refusal to turn over documents concerning the Justice Department’s failed Operation Fast and Furious gun-tracking program.

Holder made the request Friday night to U.S. District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson, asking that the Justice Department be allowed to put the case in front of a federal appeals court before Jackson makes any final decisions.

In September, Jackson rejected the Obama administration’s request to have the case dismissed.

Of course they do, because the documents will likely send AG Holder to Prison, and give President Obama his well-deserved impeachment.

The sad thing is how long this has been going on. If Obama had been impeached, and Holder Imprisoned, we wouldn’t be knee-deep in a 2nd Term.

Anti-Rights Projection

Joan really doesn’t know which way is up.

I have been writing about the Texas Open Carry movement of late. These are folks who believe they can “normalize” the open carrying of guns on the streets of our communities. The thing is, it is NOT normal to walk around the streets with an openly carried loaded gun- no matter what these folks think. They are getting away with this because the corporate gun lobby has been pushing for and succeeded in passing gun permit laws that allow people to carry their guns openly in public places. The agenda of the NRA lobbyists and leaders is not a peaceful one.

Its not a peaceful agenda? So why is there ZERO violence at these rallies and at the NRA Convention? Any time I hear somebody say they don’t like open carry I ask them if they’re OK with Police Officers open carrying. They are…because they’re used to it. At the same time I’ve heard people talking about going to foreign nations where the police open carry long guns. I’ve seen Boston PD on a few occasions open-carrying MP5 Sub-machineguns, and that IS a bit unsettling. Because I’m not used to it, and its rare.

Open carry activism is designed to make the average citizen used to seeing people exercising their rights. It won’t take long before they associate it with people NOT being violent, and that’s the LAST thing anti-rights activists want, hence when they create images like this:

And this

You see they WANT us to be violent, only we’re not.

These are not “law abiding” gun owners. Do we have to look back at the Civil War in our country and the ugly time when slave owners brutalized black Americans? What is this stuff all about anyway? Such hatred and racism should not be tolerated in 2013 America.

You mean the origins of the anti-gun agenda in America? Yeah, she pushes on.

These are folks who actually believe they are in danger from their own government. They make false references to Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union as if the same could happen here. This leads to ramped up paranoia and fear and ramped up groups of home grown terrorists. It is devoid of all common sense. Most Americans simply do not believe this stuff.

Yeah because those citizens of Pre-Nazi Germany and of Pre-Communist Russia, and Pre-Soviet Union Europe all KNEW the horrors that were coming. I’m not saying the United States is Hell-Bent to become a genocidal dictatorship, but I am certainly not ignoring the massive amounts of nations that have become just that and saying “It would never happen here!”

As for “Most Americans Not believing This Stuff”, I think the recent NSA Spying scandals have changed that, but Joan still has her head in the sand.

Thankfully she’s a minority.

If You Don’t Trust Me, Listen to This Other Dude From Maine

Been listening to the Handgun Radio Podcast, and its great! The most recent episode is called “Buy Used, Not Abused”.

Ryan has bought ZERO new guns in his life. I’m close behind him with a whopping total of 4. And those four are just circumstances, I prefer my guns used. You see guns are forever if taken proper care of them, so why not let somebody else soak up that first ding of depreciation.

He gives some great tips on how to weed out the lemons from the pile. Also I’ll note that some guns like S&Ws have a lifetime warranty so they can always be shipped back to Springfield and be completely repaired with you only paying shipping.

Further I’ve bought some boogered up 1911s, but since nobody wants to run a 1911 stock, replacing the parts that are worn or abused may not only give you a functional gun, but a true “Semi-Custom” gun.

I really like used guns, and I dig this podcast!
