Pro-Criminal, Anti-Freedom

This is just disgusting:

Lawyers defending the neighborhood watch volunteer charged in the fatal shooting of unarmed black teenager Trayvon Martin have launched a “witch hunt” by seeking Martin’s school and social media records, the family’s lawyer said on Monday.

“I think certainly it is a witch hunt to try to find something to attack the character of a dead child and it’s completely irrelevant because his school records had nothing to do with him (George Zimmerman) shooting Trayvon Martin in the heart on February 26,” said Martin family attorney Ben Crump.

Zimmerman lawyer Mark O’Mara announced on his website last week that he had subpoenaed Martin’s entire school file from the Miami-Dade public school district, including test scores, any disciplinary actions and attendance records.

Since day one the Martin Family has been depicting Trayvon Martin as an angelic little boy who was just out for a walk to get some candy and a soda, who was gunned down in cold blood by George Zimmerman, who they have attempted to depict as a racist loose cannon.

Of course the facts of the case point that this is false. Zimmerman doesn’t even have a speeding ticket to his name, is from an amazingly diverse family and community, and was severely injured before he fired a single shot into Martin’s heart while Martin was beating his head into the concrete sidewalk.

We know Martin had drugs in his system at the time of the attack, he of course was not the small boy shown in the various stock photos and marketing items, and he was shot on a school night miles from his school district because he was under suspension.

The evidence points one way, but hard evidence is needed for a trial, and of course the Martin side has been on an over-zealous lynch mob since the start. Now two wrongs don’t make a right, so I hope the Zimmerman defense team uses discretion in the information acquired. I don’t think its very relevant if Martin was a bad student, or even if he was cutting class, as that doesn’t mean much in this case.

But if Martin had troubles with drugs, violence, and other serious crimes that points to a certain character and helps us see what his motivations might have been, and could GREATLY support George Zimmerman’s consistent and supported story.

This is not a witch hunt, this is keeping an innocent man out of prison by showing all the facts!

Union Thuggery

As you all know I hate unions. People have the right to freely associate, tho people don’t have the right to not support the public schools and their ridiculous unions.

Chicago Teachers Union President Karen Lewis announced late Sunday night that weekend talks had failed to resolve all the union’s issues. “We have failed to reach an agreement that will prevent a labor strike,” she said. “No CTU members will be inside of our schools Monday.”…“This is not a small commitment we’re handing out at a time when our fiscal situation is really challenged,” Vitale said.

We’re in a recession, the states are strapped for funds….but boy those Unions want more. I can’t can’t blame them because they’ll get it, as the State can’t simply shutter the schools and stop taxing the citizens for it, and let them pursue more reasonable avenues. Sure you can put your kids in private schools…but you’ll still be footing the bill for these greedy goons. Also with the union the state is stuck with the trouble of firing ALL the teachers, or heeding their wishes.

Go follow the link to see what the teachers are paid and compensated for. I suspect there are MANY people who would be willing to do that job for that price, but because all the laws of economics are forfeit with public-sector unions, we have this horrible impasse.

Private sector unions get what they deserve…people in India and China doing their job. Public Sector Unions are simply a hostage negotiation.

Never Forget

Today is a hallowed day that we should never forget, tho a little part of me (very little) appreciates the luxury and progress we’ve had when many people forget that December 7th is also a Hallowed day.

Maybe there will be a day where like the horrible and evil attack by Imperial Japan, where the memory will go dim. Today Japan is our Ally, and people take pride in their Japanese-made consumer goods, and rave about their vacations to the land of the Rising Sun, and of course many Japanese people are proud to call themselves American Citizens, and strive to live and work in a country that was once their mortal enemy.

Its also Patriot’s day here in Massachusetts, a Holiday shrouded in irony when it is celebrated in such an oppressive nanny-state that is so actively hostile to individual liberties.

On September 11th 2001 I was working a contract job doing research off the coast of Maine. I might as well have been watching the news coverage from the Moon. I remember calling my Boss and asking if we should head to the next survey area, or just come home, as Herring research seemed trivial as people were burning and dying, and horrified in our largest city.

My Boss said the job must go on, and while I should have been sleeping during the day, I watched the coverage, napped when I could, and then started running the equipment at sunset.

I’ll be spending today like I did that day, doing science and making the world a better place. The terrorists thought they could stop our way of life, and with Homeland Security and the TSA, they did in a small way. But in the larger sense, they didn’t, and I’ll fight to keep it that way, and repair the damage they did.

Others may forget, but I doubt I ever will.

A Definite Punking

via Howie Carr

Warren really didn’t stand a chance, as she’d look just as bad to refuse to sign her own book.

We were talking about Native American history and law last night, and Warren’s history with the Trail of Tears came up.

Classy!

This Should Be a Good Watch

A Breitbart Film about the Occupy movement.

The Occupy Wall Street movement’s dark underbelly is on full display in an explosive new documentary set for release later this month.

“Occupy Unmasked,” produced by the non-profit group Citizens United and the late Andrew Breitbart, in one of his last projects before his death last March, examines the movement and its possible links to organized labor and leftist groups. Its premiere in theaters on Sept. 21 follows the release of the documentary “2016: Obama’s America,” providing more cinematic fodder for the president’s critics ahead of the Nov. 6 election.

FoxNews.com was given an advanced screening of the 70-plus minute film in which Breitbart presents the case against the Occupy Movement, suggesting it was not a spontaneous event that sprouted up in downtown Manhattan, but a methodically planned uprising carefully organized by unions, left-wing activists and even members of the mainstream media.

I can’t wait to see it!

Alpha v. Beta

Really a fluff story, but something that I think looks about the same as bowing to every world leader he can nod his head to.

Interesting that this man is a Florida Business owner and a registered Republican.

Is this just an exuberant disenfranchised Republican, or is it one of the greatest punkings of all time?

“Gun Death” Messy

If you’re going to do it, do it right!

A LOS ANGELES woman committed suicide using a chainsaw in her townhouse, authorities said today.

Now those who use “Gun Death” as political capital claim to care about suicide….but only “Gun Suicide”, because deaths like this don’t do their cause any good. Also California heavily restricts their gun owners, for all the good it did with this woman.

Frankly I find suicide very sad and very tragic, but also an act that is deeply personal. Americans prefer guns, and 50% of our suicides are “Gun Deaths”….but the other half are deaths like these. Does that make a difference to you? Further do you think by restricting guns it will have much change on suicides?

I doubt it.

Nature At Home

The House is hopping, both my Mother-in-law and Christina were over, and while we were chatting in the back yard we heard a racket in the trees. I assumed it was a squirrel.

Nope:

Redtail hawk and a pigeon he killed. Love hawks, they kill shit that needs to be dead!
