“Gun Death” Samurai Sword

I think there needs to be more advocacy for “Sword Death” and “Sword Violence”

A man stabbed another with a samurai sword after an argument Saturday night in a north Minneapolis apartment, police said….Sgt. Steve McCarty said Monday that in his 20 years of police work, he’s seen a samurai sword used as a weapon “maybe one, two other times. It’s not a common weapon that we see.”

Why would anybody have a Samurai sword, you can’t hunt with them! Also anybody who owns a Samurai sword is likely a dangerous criminal.

I SHOULD KNOW!!111! (I own two!) 😉

About that Twitter Account

Seems that publishing personal information about political opponents as a way to intimidate and silence them is against Twitter’s terms of services.

Serves the shitbags right! FYI I believe its also against Facebook’s terms of services as well, if you happen to be somebody who still has personal information up on that forum.

Scare Tactics

So I found this story from the Enemy Twitter feed.

Waguespack said Paul French, 51, shot and killed his ex-girlfriend, Michelle Borer, 42, after he walked into the restaurant and they began arguing.

“She appeared to have been shot multiple times,” the sheriff added.

A patron, who was armed and had a concealed gun permit, pulled out a handgun and began shooting at French, the sheriff said. The two exchanged gunfire before both went outside where French shot himself in the head. Waguespack said. He added that the patron was wounded by a shot to the abdomen.

The money quote:

The wounded patron was hospitalized in stable condition and “his injuries are not life threatening,” the sheriff said

Waguespack would not release the wounded man’s name, but said he acted to protect others and there were no plans to book the armed man who intervened.

“What he did was in the defense of others,” he said.

So before we go too much further let’s give the H/T to the Antis who tipped me off

#Louisiana concealed handgun permit holder gets in shootout at restaurant, saves no one, is shot himself.***

Let’s start big and narrow the focus. First CSGV is a Joyce Foundation sub group, the same place that bankrolls Conceal Carry Killers which like everything Joyce has a hand in is bullshit, but in this case they are NOT doing the standard Joyce play and attempting to paint the defender as a killer or a criminal, or a psycho. But they DO point out that the defender “Didn’t save anybody” and was in fact wounded. So they’re attempting to claim that concealed carry is pointless, and will get you hurt.

Let’s look at that: First did he “save no one”? First up that’s a bit tough because the aggressor is dead, but look at the event. There was a fire-fight and the attacker retreated and took his life. Hard to read into that with much accuracy, but if his goal was to cap his GF and then pop himself, certainly I don’t see why he’d worry much about a guy returning fire…but then again this guy isn’t rational. He could have wanted to hurt more people, and maybe if he made a run for it, would he try to take cops with him? Hard to say.

Now how about the idea that this guy got hurt for his troubles. I think we all know what the antis would do in this scenario: Hide and play dead. But what would you do? Would you try and stop the attack? Would you try to stop the attacker from fleeing?

Just because you don’t have a gun doesn’t mean you won’t get shot. Just look at all the anti-gun poster children! Also let’s say everybody chickened out in this case, would he have killed more people? Would he have run and later faced off against the cops?

And of course in the end comes the Anti-Gun Strawman: That pro-gun people think CCW is a magical protection talisman, and the person with the pistol and the permit is a white knight that is protected from evil and will smite all who cause harm.

Sorry, the reality is the first rule of surviving a gun fight is to NOT BE IN A GUN FIGHT! That being said, in this instance he was in a gun fight weather he liked it or not. Also he’s going to make a recovery, and he acted as a hero.

Care to tell me how things could have been BETTER if he had left his gun at home? Maybe the guy would have politely walked outside and offed himself rather than exchanging fire.

That’s a pretty big “Maybe”, don’t you think?

*** It appears the CSGV account has been suspended. More on that later!

Depressing Quote of the Day

From Alan.

Of course, given the current property tax regime there’s a good case to be made that you’re just renting your house from the government anyway so as the landlord they have the right to come into the house any time they want. Don’t agree? Try not paying your property taxes and see who winds up with the house and who is on the street.

I wish that sonofabitch wasn’t right….but he is.

Grrrrrr

Government Media

Another great article by Michael Graham about Obama stacking the deck.

The Obama administration boots my paper, the Boston Herald, from the press pool for his high-dollar fundraiser because they don’t like the Herald’s political coverage.

They’ll allow the Boston Globe, but not the Herald, because the Herald is the more conservative of the Boston papers. Classy, huh?

On a slightly different note, the Secret Service harasses a 14-year-old (without his parents or guardian present I might add) for something he posted on Facebook that wasn’t even a threat or a crime.

Secret Service = Secret Police? Classy!

A Retort

BTW as an addendum to this post I got thinking about the talking point that Gun Owners and 2nd Amendment activists think “Every problem can be solved with a gun”.

Again show me the anti-rights activists who were “Solved” with gunplay.

Oh, another lie?

Arnold’s “Tail on the Side”

Local talkshow Host Michael Graham has the pix up on his page.

My reaction: I bet she’d be hot if she hadn’t had so much cosmetic work done.

Seriously women, getting work like this done NEVER improves. Look like yourself, because you’re beautiful!

They Know the Truth

So last night I was talking with a bunch of people who are currently being attacked in the latest Coalition to Stop Gun Violence stalker-fest over at the Conspiracy . The amusing thing is that despite the culture of fear that the anti-rights cult push, and the constant parroting that the guy with a gun “just might snap and kill everybody” (spoken about quite eloquently in the latest handgun podcast), they still feel the need to embark on ever more personal attacks against bloggers simply standing up for their rights and the rights of others. They use names like Gabrielle Giffords, and Judge John Roll, who were shot by a crazy person, but they miss that both these people were pro-gun in their political work.

While they claim to get death threats and the words of the old-gods in their comment section, those never seem to surface. The bottom line is all of these creeps are pretty well known, with their addresses online, as well as their photos, and never once has a hand been raised against them (not at hand, not a gun).

Odd if we were the crazed psychos they claim us to be #1. Wouldn’t our names be all over the national news, as well as the FBI wanted list? and #2. Would they REALLY be taunting us?

The truth is our guns are for the protection of ourselves and our free state, and we have no desire to use them for violence unless it is the last resort. The anti-rights cultists know this, and so they continue to level libel, slander, and threats against us.

To further solidify my point, I will pledge financial support to any blogger or (preferably) group of bloggers seeking legal action against them. I see the attacks only getting worse, and I’m willing to pledge my money to stop them, and stop them good before it goes too far.

So much for us being violent savages….

Color Me Amused

I’m not a huge fan of these old-guard republicans. Anti-Rights is Anti-Rights. Of course the irony is that this little punk probably voted for Anti-Rights, Anti-Gay Obama. Be nice if people like him were fighting for SOMETHING.

Also WTF was he using for glitter? Glitter is supposed to be the herpes of arts and crafts. This stuff must have been more like metallic confetti otherwise ‘ol Newton’s suit would sparkle like a teeny-bopper vampire.
