From a Land of “Sensible Gun Control”

A young girl killed and many more injured, including Police. In Russia where the gun laws are deemed “Sensible”. Granted Russia DOES have a high “Gun Death” rate, but does such a metric seem relevant to you? How about to the family of the dead girl?

Minority?

How much gun craziness must our nation endure before more of our politicians start standing up to the extremist minority to enforce the common aspiration of the majority of Americans, including NRA members, for reasonable gun laws to protect the safety and security of our families and communities?

-Dennis Henigan of the Brady Campaign

Keep those posts coming. They are the very loud minority whose views have become so extreme as to defy reason.

-Joan Peterson, Million Mom March and Brady Campaign.

They obviously read the same newsletter. Also they don’t seem to be very concerned with reality.
That’s a protest funded by “Protest Easy Guns” (I bit ironic as everybody in that building was legally disarmed by North Carolina’s stupid gun laws. The laws were so restrictive, despite having a permit recognized by North Carolina, I left all my guns at home) now look at this picture

I stepped behind the protest and took a picture on how THEY were seeing things. There you have 12 protesters organized by an official Political Action Group, and well over 100 NRA members (I can’t say “Grass Roots” in this case as the NRA is also among other things a PAC, so Apples to Apples) And according to most news sources there were 70,000 members present at the convention over the weekend.

If we’re the “Fringe Minority”, where’s the rest of your group?

Hell look at the other side of the coin

Nelson was among 75 gun owners and gun rights advocates who attended a barbecue at Back Cove Park in Portland on Sunday to celebrate the right for Mainers to openly carry firearms. Many at the barbecue wore holstered handguns…The barbecue was organized by Shane Belanger, a freshman pre-med biology major, who said he had no political motive other than to simply throw a barbecue for like-minded people.

A 19 year old college student was able to bring by the paper’s count “75 gun owners” together in MAINE. Heck I almost went there, but I had another appointment and had to get back to Massachusetts.

The event drew dozens of onlookers and a group of 30 protesters organized by Dan Skolnik, a city councilor for District 3 in Portland.

30 is a good deal better than “Protest Easy Guns” little spat of 12, and certainly 75/30 is a LOT closer than 70,000/12. Still this was by a City Official, and that’s all he got?

Again if we’re so fringe, why do we always grossly outnumber the opposition?

What if I’m not ready?

So MikeB302000 went off on some goofy personal attack of me over at Bob’s 9-11 memorial post Go read the whole thing, but feel free to skip the comments, they really pluck the bloom of the beauty of what Bob said. Breda has been attacked by Laci the Dog’s crazed owner. Joan Peterson of the Brady Campaign seems to think Mike W. is so dangerous that if anybody reads what he wrote in her comments it could cause death, plague, blood, and locusts! And of course Jadegold is always finding ways to turn anything into an attack on Linoge….then I thought of this post by Robb

I should write a screenplay for a Terminator sequel where instead of the Machines coming back into the past, Paul Helmke goes into the future to try to explain to the resistance why they shouldn’t be using guns.

Which is damn funny, but wfgodbold’s response is even more telling:

How do you know he’s not a robot sent back in time by Skynet to disarm the resistance before it starts?

Well there it is! It seems that a handful of gunbloggers will be key players in the resistance against the machines, so Skynet sent back innefective activists to stop us! And Linoge is John Connor!

Train hard people, we must be ready for when Skynet Wakes! 😉

Gun Control Advocates Don’t See What the Fuss is.

What’s the big deal with a story like this?

Police say a man wanted in a week-old killing at a Walker motel has been arrested out of state….Jacqmain is accused in the fatal stabbing of 31-year-old Mark Moore of Indianapolis, who was in the area on business. Authorities say Moore was on the phone with his wife when he was killed on Aug. 18.

A Stabbing? Who cares? It wasn’t a “Gun Death” which are the only ones that count to those who hate freedom!

Range Reports

Got a spare moment this morning and took some guns to the range.

Brought my faves, as well as the Jennings. Happened to be all guns have been tinkered with. The 1911 got a new firing pin spring (I thought the Wolf recoil spring I recently bought was a “kit” so I bought one from my recent order from Midway. The S&W617 evedently got shot to death by me (I have no idea of the round count, but it was a LOT, and I’m not the original owner) and S&W replaced the Cylinder, star, and timing pawl. You’ll note there isn’t a drag mark on the wheel in the picture. Well I added a faint one. And the Jennings had me chasing all the major springs around the armory the last time I cleaned it, so I thought I’d feed it a little.

All guns worked well…except the Jennings…but its supposed to do that!

Actually the 617 felt better than ever, I wonder if the geeks over at S&W cleaned the lockwork when they took off the side plate.

I shot like shit! It had been over a month since I’d last pulled a trigger and the results showed on page. I was pulling low with the 1911 (I didn’t think I was slapping the trigger) and the 617 was just throwing a MUCH bigger group than I prefer.

Oh well, I need to shoot more, I guess! Still had fun!

A Common Story

I hope for Justice in This Case

Davis County prosecturos have filed a pair of aggravated murder charges against a Layton woman whom police say killed her two children. The charges could carry a potential death sentence if she is convicted. Prosecutors told FOX 13 that it is too soon to make that decision. Sun Cha Warhola, 44, was arrested and booked into the Davis County Jail Thursday morning on two counts of aggravated murder. Papers filed say 8-year-old James and 7-year-old Jean Warhola were found dead inside a bedroom of their home Wednesday night. Charging documents released late Thursday night give more disturbing details of the siblings’ deaths….”There was a sign of a struggle inside in a bedroom,” said Layton Police Lt. Quinn Moyes. “The two children have markings on their throat and neck area that would be consistent with a type of strangulation case that we have seen.”

Somebody who does this to her children cannot be fixed in my book. May we quietly put her down like the sick animal she is.

And I will note that the sick animals in the Gun Control front find this story not disturbing at all. Strangling two children? Its not a “Gun Death” so who cares?

Feel Good Story

Buddy Mike W. , found this story

The intruder who punched out a Chandler man while stealing beer at a keg party picked the wrong victim.

The man, who had been attempting to defend his wife during the beer theft, had a permit to carry a concealed weapon. Fearing for his life and under attack, he pulled out a gun and fatally shot two men believed by police to be gang members early Sunday morning….Ramer said police have concluded the shooter, who fears reprisals and whose name is not being released, acted in self-defense and have cleared him of any potential wrongdoing in the shooting deaths.

Gang members wreaking havoc on innocent people, and the innocent people refusing to be victims. Also two dangerous monsters taken off the streets for good. The money quote is this tho:

“People in Arizona carry guns,” said Detective David Ramer, a Chandler police spokesman. “You better be careful about who you are picking on.”

This reminds me of a quote from the great American Film The Shootist

I won’t be wronged. I won’t be insulted. I won’t be laid a-hand on. I don’t do these things to other people, and I require the same from them.

Gunfighter JT Books in that film was not a ruthless brute, but he was also not a pushover. Not only are lawful people reading and hearing about this story, so are the criminals. Do you think criminals who know of this story are more or less likely to commit violent crime on innocent people?

We are not prey, we will not be victims. Its little wonder why criminals favor gun control. If you defend yourself YOU are in charge, if you submit, the brutes are in charge!

Chronic Dishonesty

I must say Joan Peters of the Million Mom March, and the Brady Campaign is an amazing case study in the nature of an anti-freedom bigot. Here are two combined quotes that just knock my socks off! From Here and Here

Many of the shooters of others are not criminals until they pull the trigger. Most homicides are among people who know each other- domestic in nature. They also often take their own lives in the process.

I am asking for a reasonable exchange of information. Whenever I provide facts, you say I lie. You don’t like the facts. People can have their own opinions, but they can’t have their own facts. So when I site a credible source, Dr. Wintemute as one example, he is a shill. Never mind that he does scientific research and publishes in peer reviewed journals and is a respected scholar. Not by you, of course, because you show no respect for anyone who disagrees with you.

Just look at the first half, and then the second one. You have a statement that so amazingly untrue, anybody who can read a newspaper or watch a TV report should know its completely false. She’s claiming that the majority of gun homicides are domestic murder-suicides by otherwise lawful people. Could a statement be any more untrue?

Hell she’s not even representing the Brady-Funded bunk study correctly. The Brady study claimed that most homicide victims knew their killer. They spin it to SOUND like its domestic accidents and homicides, but actually its because most homicides in this nation (gun or otherwise) are results of gang violence. Of course one gang member knows the members of the other gang. But even in those cases there isn’t a suicide. And of course most of these homicides the cops know the victim as they have been arrested many times before.

She drops such a fabricated load of shit like that, then has the gall complain when people call her a liar? Also hilarious that she’s clinging to such an ethically challenged troll as Dr. Gary Wintermute.

Its a wonder why their attempts at activism fail so badly. Thankfully they’re so ethically bankrupt that I see no remorse in their destruction.
