Concord Proposes Cat Leash Law

Wednesday night, voters at Concord’s town meeting will vote on a new leash law – for cats.

Lydia Lodynsky tells The Boston Globe that the bylaw that would be similar to one already in town for dogs…Lodynsky would sit outside in her yard to mourn. It was then she noticed the cats, and one by one, they would pick off birds, including a morning dove, a cardinal, and a black cap chickadee, according to the paper.

Now, one of the warrants on Concord’s town meeting tackles the idea of cats running loose. The Globe says that if a cat was to wander onto a yard, and the land owner doesn’t object, than there would be no issue.

She is right about one thing, cats are hunters and they do catch and kill a lot of small animals, often for sport. That being said we already have a similar ordinance…the law of nature. If you cat is out wandering the law of nature will be enforced by your local authorities.

The owners seemed to have taken them down, but my street had around 4 different “Missing Cat” signs up last fall. The cat isn’t “Missing” FYI.

**UPDATE** I missed this gem from the same meeting:

The town of Concord has banned the sale of bottled drinking water in town beginning in 2011.

“We only have one planet and I just don’t want to see it spoiled,” said Jean Hill, who introduced the measure at Concord’s Town Meeting.

Hill said that New York, Illinois and Virginia, as well as more than 100 cities, have taken action to cut spending on bottled water.

The measured passed by Concord would allow the sale of refillable containers of water, which could still be sold and delivered in town. Only plastic bottles that companies cannot reuse would be banned.

Anti-freedom, people! Remember Mommy .Gov knows best for you! Concord is LOUSY with moonbats!

BTW these morons don’t understand that people who drink bottled water can still get it by DRIVING to the neighboring towns to buy the same stuff, then hauling it home. You know, burning fossil fuels, as well as the local businesses who can’t compete with those who have the freedom to sell what their customers want.

This is “Progress” in “Progressive”. You wonder why I refuse to write it without the quotes.

“Gun Death” WTF??

Jennifer already covered it, but its too crazy to pass up.

The mother of a slain Oklahoma City man said her son, who was born a dwarf, was no match for the near 6-foot woman who killed him, apparently in a fit of anger.

Clara Ann Blocker, 40, pleaded guilty Tuesday in Cleveland County District Court to using a crystal ball and a DVD player to beat Erik Scott Saxton, 41, to death. Blocker was sentenced to life in prison on a first-degree murder count in the September 2010 slaying.

You can’t make this shit up!

Hey but this is what the people who talk “Gun Death” are dreaming of, the big killing the small, and using nasty things like DVD players and Fortune Telling equipment.

This isn’t a “gun death”, so to those who hate freedom, this smells of paradise!

Gotta love this old saw!

I’m a hunter and a sportswoman. I own guns, but not for self-defense. I support gun control laws. I would happily vote to repeal the Stand Your Ground law in my home state of Oregon. In other words, the N.R.A. does not represent me.

Nor should it. The NRA supports the 2nd Amendment. As I like to point out, George Washington didn’t cross the Delaware River to get to his Duck Blind. The 2nd Amendment has never been about hunting. Further the 1st Amendment isn’t about tweeting what you had for breakfast, either. It IS about your freedom to speak out against a Constitutionally protected right, the right to self defense, and to tell lies about the NRA. Nobody cares one way or another about Suzie Mom-Blogger talking about the trials and tribulations of poopie diapers. People DO want to silence people who are a direct threat, like your malicious and ignorant statements, or from hate groups like the KKK or the New Black Panthers.

The Constitution doesn’t allow for their silencing simply because we may not like what they say. I think this is a good thing…you probably do too, but don’t think the other Amendments should apply so liberally.

I would like to hunt, but overall I live in a fairly urban environment, for me to hunt it would need to be a planned vacation, not weekend excursion or a fair weather pastime like it is for you. My guns are for the defense of my life and the lives of whom I care about.

What are your guns for? For personal enjoyment, and the killing of meat we have a surplus of at the local grocery stores. Whose opinion is relevant now?

Of course who’s relevant and who’s a stuffy elitist is irrelevant, as the 2nd Amendment doesn’t put any preclusion on hunting, and not only do I have zero issue with the sport, I’d love to participate. But she doesn’t want me to, because my hunting rifle looks scary.

Lily Raff McCaulou is a white woman voting for Jim Crow laws because she isn’t black, nor are any of her family members, and frankly she finds blacks scary.

And this attitude is why their side is losing ground so rapidly.

Give Him Some Love

David Price, the subject of this recent post found my story and left some kind words.

He also left a link to his website where he advertises concealed carry training for Illinois residents. Just because your home state won’t let you carry doesn’t mean you have to be disarmed wherever you are!

We need everybody in this fight! We need the stalwarts in the gun-friendly state to keep fording forward pushing back junk laws and pushing forward good new laws. We also need people in the last bastions of anti-rights teaching, running FFLs, and getting more people to know, understand, and maybe even like guns.

There’s a reason when the Brady Campaign recently pushed a pledge they got ZERO SUPPORT, even in anti-gun states there are a LOT of gun owners, and people who aren’t hostile to the 2nd Amendment. That didn’t come from nowhere, and its people like Mr. Price who are helping build that foundation.

So if you know anybody in the area who could use some training, or needs the services of an FFL, pass that website along!

“Gun Death” Border Jumper

Here’s an interesting twist on the typical “Car Death”

At least nine suspected illegal immigrants were killed and six more were injured when the van they were packed into crashed and rolled not long after a border patrol traffic stop in a South Texas town, police said Wednesday.

The van was demolished in the accident in Palmview around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, said police Cmdr. Lenny Sanchez.

Four men fled the wreck: two were caught and two remained at large early Wednesday, Sanchez said.

The van, designed to carry a driver and up to seven passengers, had been gutted to squeeze in more passengers, he said.

Was it the van that killed, or was it the criminal act of Illegally crossing the border?

Maybe we should make illegal immigration more illegaler…..

h/t Bob

Another Crappy Game

Remember this one? It REALLY sucked!

I was lucky enough to only rent it at the video store rather than actually drop my allowance on it!

Man they advertised the crap out of it too back in the day!

Retro-Gaming

So I found an Atari 2600 Emulator, and I grabbed these two games I remember playing a LOT of. I also remember playing a LOT of Donkey Kong Jr,Popeye and Pac-Man, but all of those are ports of arcade games. These two are, as far as I know, only for the 2600

Wow, I used to play this shit? Man I was ENJOYING playing them again NOW in an age where we have 3D multiplayer real-time shooters with realistic weapons and blood????

No wonder I’m so in love with Nethack! I was damaged when my mind was still forming to play games that are hard and frustrating, and light on graphics and sound.

TSA Terrorists

Uncle reports on this story.

Short recap a little girl gets sexually molested by the TSA.

A coworker just got back from a vacation in Paraguay. He goes through the scanners, I did point out that our business would be shut down if we had Scanners like that that have no documentation available on the amount of radiation emitted, nor a service and calibration log available to all to ensure the machine is working properly. Further the TSA will confiscate any radiation badges from travelers that will tell them how much harmful radiation they have just been exposed to both in the scan, and waiting in line around the scanners.

Still for his wife she allegedly moved during the scan causing her image to be blurred. To TWO TSA goons sexually assaulted her.

He stood right there and watched his wife be sexually molested. He was PISSED. We all need to be pissed!

Also remember that certain women seem to be groped more often, most likely because the screeners find their bodies attractive. We also know several TSA agents have been busted for Child Pornography.

Why do you think these goons are touching the genitals of children?

Disbanding the TSA isn’t enough, we need to charge these people with the horrible crimes they are committing.

You Are a Threat!

McThag has an interesting post on law enforcement officers discussing Stand Your Ground.

Overall I have had no negative experiences with Police officers, and I know several who are wonderful people. I know there are bad apples, and I have been lucky to encounter none of them.

That being said, overall I’m distrustful of Police. Why? Because they are a direct threat to me. No-Knock warrens, vague “Probable Cause”, the “Thin Blue Line”, and Qualified Immunity, as well as the magic that is Massachusetts may-issue gun permits for GUN OWNERSHIP. And that’s not even getting into the Union rackets.

All the cops I’ve met have been nice people, and any whom I’ve talked to do the job for the cliche protect and serve. That being said, its their good will that keeps them from being horrible monsters….that’s it. They are only human. Doctors, lawyers, teachers, preachers, and cashiers, there are good ones, and evil ones. And they are always asking for MORE POWER.

When you note that there is a plethora of SWAT teams with tanks, air supports, and NFA firearms, the Police are the “Standing Armies” that our founding fathers warned us about.

And most of our founding fathers served in the Revolutionary war, as well as prior, and subsequent wars. I’m sure they were proud of their service, and loved their brothers-in-arms, but still they saw the danger then. We should still see it now.
