Farewell

Found this video that covers all the major bases of Barney’s tragic political career.

Also shows what a steel-eyed liar Frank is. The man can look you in your eye and tell you the sky is Green without so much of a wince. You really need to be a cold hearted bastard to do that!

So Congressman Frank, don’t let the door hit you on the way out. And Massachusetts, you should be ashamed for calling this hemorrhoid one of your own.

Full Stupid

So I’ve posted a few of their videos. They also have a donation page up. You may want to hold off on that.

Still awesome videos, but don’t donate money right now unless you want it there to pay for stupid settlements.

BTW just look at all the stupid from the statements given. Also they think that was live ammunition??? Morons!

“Gun Death” Paradise

Why would anybody have a Butcher’s Knife?

Four police officers have been stabbed after being called to a disturbance in north-west London.

Witnesses said a man had been chased by police in and out of shops before he fled into a butchers, grabbed a knife and attacked the officers.

Two of the PCs were seriously hurt and one suffered a broken hand during Saturday’s incident in Kingsbury Road.

Well I guess the knife belonged to a butcher and it was stolen by a criminal.

Of course this is London where police can stop and search people just for something to do, the city is laced with CCTV cameras, carrying of firearms are banned, ownership of firearms is restricted to the upper crust, Carrying Knives is illegal, and ownership of knives is heavily restricted, and self defense is illegal.

Hopefully the two seriously wounded officer pull through. Good thing they so heavily restrict the freedom of their subjects for a good reason, right?

Their Words

This has been bouncing around a lot at Joan Peterson’s blog. Confiscation of guns. A few commenters and the Joyce/Brady shill have been dancing around it for a while, but now she up and said it.

I guess your definition of confiscation is different than mine. From the article you linked:” More than 160,000 handguns have been surrendered by their owners since new laws were introduced following the Dunblane massacre, the UK Government has revealed.”

Confiscate- ” To seize (private property) for the public treasury.
2. To seize by or as if by authority. See Synonyms at appropriate.
adj. (knf-skt, kn-fskt)
1. Seized by a government; appropriated.
2. Having lost property through confiscation.”

Gun owners in UK were compensated for their guns turned in though it took longer than they expected.

She said a similar, but slightly veiled thing about the New York and California SKS owners.

So there you have it, antis are against “Confiscation” so long as when they seize your property they give you “Fair compensation”.

Of course there also runs the lie, as there will NEVER be so much as “Fair Compensation” when an outright ban comes through, as suddenly firearms value becomes infinite. A real-world example can be found looking at transferable Machine Gun values. Just look at the prices on transferable Machine Guns here . An M16 or an Uzi in full auto doesn’t cost any considerable amount more to build than the semi-auto variant….but the cost can be as much as 10X or more. Why? Because when Reagan signed the Hughes Amendment the last civilian-legal Machine Guns were made. There are no more, and when one breaks or is destroyed, its gone from circulation. The value is supply and demand. When the supply is Zero, the price rises to infinity.

And of course all these people who didn’t “Voluntarily” turn in their guns were sent to prison for illegal possession of contraband.

I’ve said it before, the only thing these people care about is banning guns, and they will tell whatever lies they think we’ll buy to get closer and closer to that goal.

…and like their idols in the UK, when the guns are banned they’ll move to knives, and sporting equipment, and a total police state.

We must defeat them, for they are the enemies of freedom.

Good News!

Barney Frank won’t be seeking re-election!

What’s really sad is it took him peacefully stepping down to end his rein. Some people rag on Barney for being a homosexual, I think that’s just a cheap shot given what a reprobate he is. I’m not really in a mood digging up all his walking the line between public servant and common criminal, as well as his very close relationships with convicted felons.

I’m glad to see you go Barney, you’re a disgusting man that makes me ashamed every time you stand up to represent America. Also the fact that you served as long as you did, with as many scandals and criminal endeavors as you did shows how brain-dead the Massachusetts electorate is, and how Gerrymandered (Yes, Congressman Frank’s district is the one that named the whole term) your district is.

You will NOT be missed, and whatever cancer that replaces you will be better than you ever were!

h/t Bells A Ringing, I heard it from you guys first!

“Gun Death” Psycho Driver

Remember can’t compare guns with cars…

Daniel Ray Habeeb, 43, is being held without bail for allegedly violating the terms of his probation. In 2009, Habeeb was charged with vehicular homicide after crashing into a vehicle near Interbay, killing a 65-year-old woman. After doctors declared that Habeeb had suffered a previously undiagnosed psychotic episode during the 2009 crash, a plea agreement was reached that included a one-year suspended sentence and two years of probation, prosecutors said….Habeeb had his young daughter and the girl’s friend in his Ford Explorer when he struck Laura Sheard and Kristopher Martin’s Hyundai on Lake City Way Northeast, authorities said. The Hyundai and the Explorer traveled about 100 yards before the Hyundai burst into flames at about 3:40 p.m.

Sheard, a 26-year-old UW pharmacology student, and her boyfriend, Martin, a 33-year-old musician and video-production specialist at OnlineShoes, died at the scene.

So now he has 3 kills under his bumper. Yeah a gun is so much more deadly!

Just FYI

It would appear that Preserved Lemons are just about the perfect garnish for a Vesper Martini.

FYI my variation of the drink uses New Amsterdam Gin rather than a vodka gin mix as New Amsterdam is a much lighter gin than the more traditional gins in my stable.

I’ll be sipping on one of these in front of the fire and polishing off Monster Hunter: Vendetta .

BTW as I finish this one I cannot WAIT until Monster Hunter: Nemesis that follows the back story of Agent Franks hits shelves.

Have a good evening, y’all!

SPEEEEED GOAT!

In Wally’s Clubhouse there are several impressive mounts, mostly whitetail bucks, and various local fishes. But the one I was most amused with was the Pronghorn Antelope.

Often called “Speed Goats” for their impressive running speed. I told this guy he was too damn fast!

We then made up.

He was a pretty Speed Goat!

Much thanks to Jay for following excellent instructions on what bizarre photos I wanted with a dead antelope!

And thanks again to Wally for hosting us at his amazing club!

The Question of “Need”

Cargosquid pointed out a very apt quote from Joan Peterson that fits well with this story from this weekend.

” A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

I don’t see the word “need” here.

Go read the whole screed if you had any doubt she was reality-challenged person.

Of course there’s nothing in there about “need”, there is no “need” clause on any human right. Hell if there WAS a “Need” clause the 4th Amendment would be null and void, as the only people who NEED to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures are criminals, and we don’t really want to be protecting them, do we?

The list goes on. The Sir Edmund Hillary defense of “Because it was there” seems to be good enough reason to exercise ANY rights enumerated there, and that INCLUDES keeping AND BEARING arms.

That being said, the “Need” argument in itself is pretty lame as well. “Need” can be a pretty strange thing. I’m right now sitting in my armory typing this on my computer. At this point I NEED the computer, and high-speed internet to write this post. Of course I do this post for my amusement as well as yours, do we need to be entertained?

Still we like to draw lines at life and death. I need food and water, and clothing to protect me from exposure. But what about incidental needs? A house in my old neighborhood in Maine burned on either Thanksgiving or black Friday. My mother and I walked by and we saw a young girl showing somebody one of her possessions that was burned beyond recognition and a woman that was probably her mother sobbing in somebody’s arms. Those people will need housing, and certainly if something could have prevented the fire I suspect they will say they needed that. Looks like it may have been a kitchen fire by the damage to the structure, don’t know all the details, but I do know the house was severely damaged, and the fire department was about a mile from them. I don’t NEED my fire extinguisher right now, and those people don’t need one right now, but while their house was burning those are very nice things to have.

Another example I like to use are safety belts in cars. I’ve been in a few minor accidents and one major one…never did my safety-belt protect me from any serious injury. And certainly as I was running errands around town today, nor on my drive home from Maine did I at ALL NEED my safety belt…still I think we can rightfully call me a fool if I had elected NOT to use it.

Now how about with guns? Thankfully I’ve never NEEDED a gun, but there have been several cases where I was glad to have one, and other times when I was disarmed where I wished I DID have one. Another one of those events happened this weekend.

My Mother and I were walking along the ocean and we saw a seal swimming in the harbor. We had just turned a corner when I saw a young man who just tripped my alarm bells. He was dressed a bit strange, and disheveled, but honestly I couldn’t tell you exactly what about him gave me the creeps but it did. He turned down towards where we were. Also happened this place had a good view of the harbor so we ducked over to the corner so watch for the seal…and I also wanted to let this guy pass us so he’d be in sight rather than in my blind spot.

As he passed he started babbling about being bi-polar and apologizing for all the graffiti in the area. Mom looked scared, I just kept my eye on him.

Once he’d moved along a good bit Mom started discussing how to avoid him. I pointed out this was why I carried a gun. We followed him at a safe distance until he turned one way, and we went the other.

Nope, didn’t NEED my gun, but was glad to have it. And certainly if I NEEDED a gun, but didn’t have one my Mother and I could have been dead or injured.

Just about everybody doesn’t NEED a gun…but for those who do, if they don’t have one in their time of need they regret it for the rest of their life, which often isn’t very long.

As a wise friend of mine says: “Carry your gun, its a lighter burden than regret”.

I’ll stick with that philosophy.

Snicker

OK this got me laughing so hard that I had to share.

Hey Weer’d. I just drove through your town on the way to Hershey. Maybe some day I’ll stop and say hello. Have a nice Thanksgiving.

That’s Joan Peterson of the Brady Campaign. Of course I have her home address if legal action ever needs to be taken, and she often talks about where she’s from. But let’s just point out that If you map out a road trip from ANYWHERE in Minnesota so Hershey PA, it doesn’t take you ANYWHERE near Massachusetts where I live. Heck even if she went OVER the Great Lakes through Canada she would only cross through Western Mass probably no closer to 100 miles from me…and think of her carbon footprint of going NORTH to head south!!

I have a few suspicions on why she said what she said, all of them point to her being VERY stupid.

So yeah, she both revealed stalker behavior (which the antis are known for) and sheer stupidity.

yawn!
