The Gang’s All Here

Taking just a moment while the Wife and her sisters are collecting my Father-in-law, they’ll all be back soon and we’ll head out to Dinner. More people will be showing up tomorrow for the big day.

I’ll likely make a post as we get ready to leave for the hospital, then because the wordpress dashboard looks like crap on my phone I’ll simply leave comments below it with relevant updates for all to see.

Again thank you all for your support, thoughts and prayers, and Mrs. Weer’d sends her thanks as well.

Useful Idiot

Ubu52 really is good for illustrating a point.

all food belongs to the government, essentially, as all “rights” come FROM the government.” BINGO! “Human Rights” do come from government. The UN is essentially a world governing body. That’s why “Human Rights” and “Natural Rights” are two different things.

American Mercenary took her out to the woodshed on that little doozie!

Here is a base truth; Government does not create, government meddles in the form of regulation and redistribution of human activity. If ubu52 cannot fathom that, then ubu52 will hopefully forget how to breath, or move to Tehran.

Da Wookie

I mentioned “Wookie Suit” to Vector and Jesse the other day, and neither of them had heard it before. The term comes from Tam

A libertarian. Esp. one who owns multiple Mosin-Nagants and a longbox full of comic books, reads science fiction, and refers to their minivan as the “Millennium Falcon”.

The origin is New Hampshire’s own Dave Ridley

Does this Count as “Gun Death”?

Kinda like how some opressive societies count air guns as “Firearms” (the word “Fire” is in there for a reason Compressed gas != Burning propellant….then again when Junior gets busted out in the Burbs for causing mayhem with a potato cannon, you never hear it called a “Firearm”….) There are some other options.

Police in Australia have released an X-ray photograph showing the 35 nails that were shot into a man’s skull in a brutal murder last year.

The victim of the attack was Chen Liu, a 27-year-old Chinese immigrant on a student visa, whose tightly bound and badly decomposed body was found by children on a marsh in southern Sydney.

Do Nail Guns count as “Gun Death”? Wouldn’t suprise me how many of these jokers gather “Data”. Either way it again points that the tool is not as relevant.

Nice Video

Very balanced take by Reason who I suspect sees eye to eye with many of the protesters. I have a friend out there right now, and I can’t wait to hear back from him on his take-away from the rally.

Neat Ammo Tests

Mike W. links these guys doing neat test videos. They Have my personal carry ammo, and the results look VERY good as far as expansion.

There are a ton of other brands that pretty much look the same in the end. Some looked very pretty

Others no-so-much:

Still let’s face it, if you’re carrying a handgun, your carry load sucks!

DO WANT!!!

How Cool is this??

Tho I will say doing #1 I won’t always wash my hands. Let’s face it I take a shower and put on clean underwear where my hog stays nicely wrapped, when I go to pee my hands are likely more dirty than my equipment, and I’m fully aware of where the pee comes from so I don’t get any on me, so why need to wash up??

Still its a good design!

“Gun Death” works Both Ways!

Selective Statistics can Cut Both Ways

Sevier County Detectives are currently investigating a stabbing incident that occurred on Monday at approximately 1:30 p.m. in Kodak.
Sevier County Sheriff Ron Seals said that the Sevier Co. Sheriff’s Office responded to a stabbing at 1006 Alex Bales Rd.
When officers and ambulance personnel arrived at the scene they found Jesus Fernandez suffering from multiple stab wounds and lacerations.
Upon investigation and questioning of witnesses, it was determined by detectives that Fernandez had been involved in a dispute with a female co-worker and that he had pulled a knife on her before she took it away from him and stabbed him several times.

Looks like the Jerk will live, but note that this piece of defense cannot be use by us to claim “Gun Defense” and that’s OK because “Gun Defense” is just a stupid as “Gun Violence” as a metric.

Also on a more serious note, this is a GREAT example of refusing to be a victim. The woman was attacked while unarmed by an armed man. She did not submit and fought back as best she could. That was enough. Good work!

Mookie has Friends in High Places

Make sure you’re sitting down before you read this story!

Paris HIlton was arrested in Las Vegas overnight on charges of felony cocaine possession, the Associated Press is reporting.

Be still my heart!!! There’s no way such a pure lady might be into hard drugs like Booger-Sugar!! But the Plot Thickens!

TMZ is reporting that Hilton says the purse containing the cocaine did not belong to her. Her attorney in the case — David Chesnoff, a Vegas lawyer who has represented numerous celebrity clients — also cautioned people “not to rush to judgment” in his interview with AP.

Whose Purse was it? We all know whoes purse it was!

MOOKIE!!!!

Here it Goes!

So Friday was my last regular day of work for the next two weeks. Until September 13th I’ll only be working weekends in the lab. If you don’t remember, Tuesday my wife will be undergoing Brain Surgery that will hopefully to some extent cure her Epilepsy. (Its looking like a VERY good chance she’ll be 100% seizure free, tho likely will still be on some form of medication), and I’ll be spending the remainder of my weekdays helping my woman recuperate.

So Tuesday isn’t going to be a fun day for anybody here, and then we’ll start the healing.

We’ll have lots of family and friends, so for now all we really need is thoughts and prayers.

And thank you all my blog buddies who have been so supportive through all of this, I am truly humbled by how wonderful people are!
